Re: 24v headwork - power gains

Bit of a thread dig but with all this talk of 2.5 heads on a 3.0 has anyone done it or calculated what the CR would be? And are there likely to be any compatibility problems with oil passages etc?

Re: Spindle flex under cornering....beware!

Apologies for the very slow reply, it's been while since I was on the forum. It's been a while and I'm not as involved in the club as I was. The spacers were reported to be a definite improvement but I'm afraid I can't provide much more detail. I know the mechanic that installed them didn't enjoy th...

Welcome to the forum Jeroen. You have a great looking GTV6. Unfortunately I can't speak Dutch so I can only look at your photos. Would you mind posting in English?

Re: Adding Material To The Inlet Ports????

The company I work for make 120hp/litre aircooled motorcycle engines. They've used epoxy, Devcon I think, in the inlet ports without problem

Re: Bending front stub axles ?

Inner bearing ID 29mm Outer bearing ID 19mm Distance between inner races ~ 35mm when installed JimK mentions the other spindle sizes in his book, inner bearing IDs of 32 (Alfa 6), 31 (SZ/RZ, 75evo, special heavy duty TS). 75s, GTV6, late Alfettas have 29mm and early Alfettas 26mm. Not sure where the...

Wow, that's some serious wear. I would never have thought something like that would happen. Must have been loose for a long time.

Cheers, Scott.

Re: Strange failure on 12v 3.0...

What exactly went wrong? If the auxiliary shaft pulley was loose wouldn't that only affect the ignition timing? Obviously not because you bent some valves, but what happened?

Hi Kevin. If you've got the graphs that's great, if you don't, no big deal.

Re: new type tensioner

I rebuilt my hydraulic tensioner in my daily driver over 5 years ago and it doesn't leak although it is starting to look a little damp. Success of the rebuild relies on condition of the parts.

Re: Vortech Supercharged 75 Potenziata

Looking good Duk. In a post on the AROCA board you said you were making up another pair of extractors with smaller and shorter primaries. What's your thinking?

Also, what are the spacers under the top balljoint for?

Keep it up!

Re: The Orange Cab -MD's New Racer

Great work MD. Thanks for documenting it for us. Speaking of documentation, did you happen to record the diameter you ended up pressing the bottom ball joint into? I think you said you tried a couple of diameters so the joint didn't deform and end up stiff?
