Hey Mats, are the ES30 discs still expensive? Last time I looked they were like 280 euro a pair or something.
Will be reading your blog, as I'm hoping to build a turbo Alfetta out of the 79' 2.0 I have at my house.

Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
Why is it better to have the rear wheels inside or equal to the front track?

Re: What to look for when purchasing a Race GTV6
Yeah, those speeds were listed in MPH, not KM/H
I'd like to join the Alfa club at that track, but it's honestly too fast. I'm not comfortable pushing the car at 100mph at the cornering limit on the big turn. Several people have died there.

Re: Power & performance figures for 24v with transaxle
I think there must be something wrong with installation. Even with a 3.55, the 24V should be pretty damn fast in a 75 anyways, Squadra racing chip seems to make a good, very noticeable increase in mid-range power, and some up high too. But make sure all is well before doing "performance" u...

Re: 4-cylinder turbo performance
Yeah Greg, I was thinking the same...maybe would be easier to drop in a good S3 engine. I'm wondering if I can utilize VVT to help torque down low, but I have no idea how the Alfa sytem works. All I know is, getting VVT to work on my 1.6 4AGE 20V increased torque tremendously from 2000 rpm up to 500...

Re: 4-cylinder turbo performance
I'm thinkin' stock compression, Euro cams, log manifold, t25, and 60mm exhaust piping, with a small intercooler up front... Mount injectors on the stock Spica intake runners if possible and use VEMS.
Anything obvious that I'm missing?

Re: 4-cylinder turbo performance
What does the 1.8T have that's better for boos than the NA nord engines? I'm thinking about a low boost 2.0 liter for my Alfetta. Using stock pistons, 9.5:1 compression. Would be happy with 150-170hp if possible. Any thoughts on this? Would probably have a friend build a log manifold. So what am I m...

Re: Upper control arm angle mods
No matter the geometry, the car seems to be more fun when the wheel rates are higher. Therefore, increase spring rates first, then fix the geometry  I've been driving a car with struts for a while now...bolted on some $80 roll center adjusters and was done with it. I'll see you guys on this f...

Re: Drop Spindles
AE86 use the same method to lower the RC on the rear axle. I'm going to pick up a new "stud" for that purpose from a local dealer and compare it to my spare Dedion and see if the OD of the shaft is the same as the watt's linkage for Alfas. If it is, it should be easier/cheaper to do the mo...
Re: Jims book
I would gladly paypal the purchase price of the book if I can access whatever has been done so far (12V) so I can read it electronically. So many questions and nothing short of your book will be able to answer them I think

Re: 24 v performance cam on standard engine..?
You said the runner size increase was marginal from grinding right? Still wondering if switching to a 164 style intake manifold will be beneficial for a 12V with hotter-than-S cams.
