Re: My rebuild!
Been a very busy boy at work! The car has had a few things done and a few issues found with it: Rear bearings both shot so replaced when the hubs were changed. Longer wheel studs used in case I decide to go with cambered dedion and spacers down the track RS stuff fit to rear Gearbox mounts gone- bei...

Re: My rebuild!
Thanks Z! The plan is to do a modded ddion down the track- with camber and colocated spring perch/shock mount, maybe outboard brakes... The 156 wheels have crap offset and I've got some peformatek spacers for them. The Milanos (if I haven't been ripped off and they actually do show up) are meant to ...

Re: Introduction and purchase help (128k Warning)
What do you want to do with the car? It's an unfortunate bi-product of owning these cars, that without a good knowledge of its' history, you can't be too sure of what you're getting yourself into. And that's where the fun starts- They ARE getting rarer, but their appeal isn't universal- sure, you'll...

Re: My rebuild!
And here's me being silly, revving the thing while it's on stands. I won't make a habit of it- I was just waiting for something to go wrong! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pe39DIwZgCU&feature=plcp It feels pretty good to have seats in it, to be able to sit there for the first time in 4 years! An...

Re: My rebuild!
Thanks Mats- talking to yourself is one the first signs of madness, so writing to yourself has to be a little bit further down the path!
If anyone could take a pic of their seat rails I'd be much appreciated....

Re: Bond Car on a Budget
I'll admit it: That was the piece of film that started my love affair with these cars! At the time, I thought the F-111D being towed past in the background was cooler (well, I'd still prefer to have a go of an F-111 than a GTV6- I think anyone who would say "no thanks" to 450kts and 200 fe...

Re: My rebuild!
Ok - windows and seals are in, but I will tidy up some bits- I was so worried about chipping paint (which I inevitably did- it was always going to happen!) that I cut some seals a little shorter than I liked. I have images and ill do a write up on the seals as a resource. Car is not far off drive ab...
