Re: ITB Conversion Alfetta GTV 2.0

all modern bikes are ITB`s ... but use gsxr 750 ones ..tehy are cheap and most important its posible to separate to 4 single bodies with proper spacers to fit alfa bore to bore centers .... but my advise is use carb bodies :!: just make tapered inserts lets say 45-48 mm to 40 and fabricate TPS mount...

Re: Secondary Pipe Tuning???

My software came up with 1.303" dia and 26" long. Has anyone found the smaller primaries to be restrictive? i talked to Larry at maxrace and he told me tnat smaller diameter pipes have more wall to cross area ratio (read wall friction) .... so with such small pipes you can take this dia a...

Re: Mats Strandberg (SWE)

SS2333 (AISI304) tubing anyway. Not sure about flanges actually. Warp alot you say? TIG? You need to mill it afterwards of course. But you mean it warps in use? warp during TIG welding, no problem with warping in use. i am sure your welder knows his job :) easiest way to prevent warping at minimum ...

Re: Mats Strandberg (SWE)

SS steel or mild steel ? when i weld make headers i prefer mild steel flanges and inox tubing. SS flanges especialy thick ones warp alot  even with 2x6mm flanges instead of 1x12mm still warpage is significant.

Re: When should a gearbox have an oil cooler ?

with proper synt. oils even 150+ degrees are not a problem (75w-140 racing oils) BUT aluminum long and weak alfa transaxle will not take it for long ... dont forget fact that if average temp is 150 local bearing and teeth contact patches are much higher :!: i want to try running ATF as transaxle oil...

Re: 3liter big-valve porting.

basic rules are: port entry 85% of valve d runner entry not smaller than valve window at max lift :!:
some fast calcs for 44mm valve at 12 lift runner entry 46mm tapper to port entry 37.5
but this works with proper head working and matched cams

Re: 3liter big-valve porting.

exelent :)
Jim do you have any velocity profiles too ?
btw this is good example why v6 have more potential tnah nord and even TS, port geometry is way better :)
