Re: Balance issues?

Thanks for your interest Mats (owner of the vehicle here) The car has a twinspark box however I think the housing is original. It has done 3-4 tarmac rallys with no change of setup. There has always been a vibration especially at high revs in first and second. Clutch is definately v6. Do you think a...

Re: ZENDER Sports for GTV6

Hi John/MD Thanks both for the info. I believe the offsets of the original stock gtv6 wheels are 40 and that people here generally suggested wheels with 35 offset if they are wanting 7-8 inch width. With et 17, the outer width is an extra 48mm (if my original offset info is correct) compared to 30mm...

GTV6, 75 TRANSAXLE SWAP

Hi I've read extensively (thanks to all who have contributed) about the issues of putting a 75 TS transaxle into a GTV6 and plan on doing this to benefit from the better gear ratios and LSD. I am wanting however to install the GTV6 trans into the 75 and use the car as a daily driver. I'm assuming th...

Rust??? What's that? Fortunately I don't have to worry about such things in Aus. Thanks for the advice. I'll just remove the sections at the rear and treat with POR 15. I'll be able to keep an I on it anyway as the'll be no insulation or carpet covering when I'm finished with the race prep. Thanks a...

Chassis bonding - sound proofing- seam welding

Hi I'm removing the sound deadening rubber from the floor pan with dry ice and wondering whether to continue around the areas where the rubber bonding has been injected around the panel seems near the rear wheel arches (inside) and transmission tunnel. Does this material serve any purpose? Could I s...
