It was closer than you think between the 156 and the e55... :D The e55 is Friggin' heavy heavy heavy.... Jano's 3.75 147GTAm was faster around the to...

Yeah, everyone has their own opinion but heres my feedback. Firstly i have been to four All Tar rallies where Glenwood has entered these big bore motors and have never seen an engine failure. These engines are totally thrashed to the limit. But I have also heard of a failure or two on chaps in thei...

My 3.8 sounds vicious. As JJ says, it's better in real life.

Plus here, we run everything de-cat - no emissions tests/MOTs, which gives the exhausts a nicer bass sound on low revs. Sounds like a 8 litre v8!

Hey!

I'm also probably going to be joining the Glenwood family with a rebuilt 2.5 156 v6. With a bit of Barry thrown in.

More details later...

Right now I just want the 3.8l 156 back! she's so nice.......Barry!!!!!!

Hamish, which sleeves are you using witht the pistons? I guess they are 350 cid? Pistons are dead cheap but sleeves are more difficult to find. Volvo truck liners 102.4mm bore. Not sure exactly what the specs are, better ask barry! the pistons were from chevy v8 racers, as I said - cutouts were mac...

Hamish, while I appreciate your attempts to be fair here and your sincere efforts at dolling out equal scorn in order to help end this, I must say - I resent the notion that I was throwing around arbitrary numbers! As if to say that I am lying or that my numbers are doubtful!? Mats' tirades aside; ...

But having said that, Mats, you sound like a bitter old woman in this thread....

(your clear disdain for me even mentioning the name "autodelta", like it was the name of a dead dog you once loved, or your mother or something, and your attack on JJ (yes it was an attack))
