Re: XRAD'S ALFETTA
Must have been something else wrong, the S-Cams is very mild should not be affected by compression ratio?!

Re: 2.5 future mods - engine direction?
Is there no one exept me that lowe the wail of the six at full revs and the super direct reponse when you move the gaspedal just a tiny bit, instead of the rubberband steam engine feel of a blown engine?

If you only want torque put in a modern turbodiesel then?! What about the feeling and the sound of a Busso V6 at full revs!

Re: Alex Jupe's short shift mechanism
If you have problems with crunching between gears 1-2, alfa did adress this problem in the late Alfa 75. For first gear there is a very special syncronisation ring that is threathed for more friction, so the box works much better on quick shifts. That ring is much more expensive than the normal ones...

Re: rear brake adjusters
Yes they do, you just have to grind the ring a bit thinner, i believe the size is 17mm?

By the way, IAP do not have V6 manifolds to sell anymore.

I use a recessed ringspanner that has been ground down in thickness.

Re: JK's v6 book
That is not really correct, the diameter from the collector is bigger, and then it was followed up with a exhaust system with larger diameter.75evo wrote:There is no significant difference between the V6 CSC SV and normale. The only real difference is the joint to to mid muffler is slightly bigger.

Re: JK's v6 book
O.k. Thanks anyway. Does anybody know if CSC still makes the SV manifolds and exhaust with bigger diameter tubing? It was sold by AV-Delta in Germany.

Re: JK's v6 book
Could be true. Look at the S14 (M3) race or even street engines. They have short but fat primaries. Good for top end power for high revving engines, which is where most 4-valve engines make their power anyway. With some of the new lobe designs, you can make the 2-valve V6 make power all the way to ...

Re: JK's v6 book
Jim, looking in your book, the THS manifold is a direct copy of the ANSA/CSC type with long primary pipes. When I use these i have a feeling that they are very good for midrange, but not so good for high rpm. The engine feels a bit strangled on top. I have tried engines with the ES30/SZ manifolds th...

Re: JK's v6 book
But these are CSC or very similar, that would mean too small in diameter? I already have ANSA (the ones that CSC copied) and Supersprint. Both most fitting for 2,5L.

Re: JK's v6 book
Talking about manifolds, is there a supply somewhere of manifolds for 3L 12V along the lines in the book?
