Hi-
There is no gasket for the oil pump, and I would not bother with sealant under it.
Enjoy-

belt
On the GTV6 the same belt drives the alternator and the water pump. Be careful tightening it, since the water pump sometimes responds to the added lateral force by failing.

Impeller
Yes, trailing throttle oversteer is no fun! So, since my rules forbid the electric waterpump . . . I see stuff for other motors about impellers designed to decrease cavitation, etc. Seems to me like a place to improve things. Anybody ever taken one of these pumps apart? Guess I will this weekend! -A...

Water pump
That being said, has anyone played with the existing water pump? Modified the impeller? If we are regularly spinning the pump higher than its optimal speed, can we do anything to it to change this? I know that the size of the pulley is about as big as we can make it. Has anyone explored making the c...

That looks pretty nice! What kind of round insert are you using in that tube?

Cold air intake
I think your intake is exactly right-you absolutely have to get cold air to those cone filters! How much room is there around the air filter shield? I made a compartment for the cone filter in the engine bay, and ducted the air from the headlight into it. Your arrangement is much simpler, I think. I...

Weight
There are a couple of tracks in the region with pretty bad drop-offs if you "run out of track," and I had actually bottomed out the pan on them in the past-so I tried that pan guard, but it did not help much. But I got rid of that thing a while ago when I learned to keep the car on the tra...

Clutch
I currently use a Tilton 3 disk clutch, actuated with the Alfetta slave cylinder arrangement. Works great, but the coaxial arrangement is better.

Clutch slave
Can you please share your experience about the concentric slave? I think this is one of the more elegant ways to release the clutch!

Torsion bars
Interesting, thanks for the math, it gives me something to mess with!
To make bars thicker than 33mm will require some (more) work under the car with a hammer.

Weight
I see, my weight is with driver-so there is 75kg of the difference right there! I cannot go to coil-over setup. Does anyone have experience with the gun-drilled torsion bars, and does anyone have info about weight/stiffness differences? I use 33mm solid bars (86 model car, so "short" bars)...

GTV6 weight loss program
OK, I have moved this thread over here-
Perhaps we can all relate what we've done to lose weight on our cars.
Also, does your sanctioning body weigh the car WITH DRIVER, or not?
For EP SCCA, we have to be 2300 or greater, with driver.
