Re: Need s some advise on converting my Alfetta gtv 4 to a V

Check for welds around the chassis number..

With that tank and battery placement it should be a v6.

Re: 75 TS 3.0 V6 24v project

Hè Jelmer, Welkom hier.

Why don't you use the 24v pulley? Make some brackets and use the 164 ancillaries like ps-pump and alternator.

If you then get the 2.5 flywheel balanced to the same unbalance as the 164 flywheel it's fine. Get the flywheel lightened at the same time.

Greetings Remco

I have a 3.61 and 2x 4.27 in my shed. Heavy stuff..

Always planned using the long one with an overdrive box but decided to go the bmw route.

Re: GTV 's at Alex Jupes 2014 and 2015 Open Day

Will see if i can post some pics up. The Spettacolo is organized each year.they switch between the Zandvoort and Assen circuits, depending on availability i think. Each year there are more people from abroad. I've seen people from italy, austria, uk,germany, france, Danmark, sweden and i've read that...

You'll have to wait with that clutch job...

22-23 august there is the spettacolo sportivo meeting from the dutch alfa owners club. One of the largest alfa meetings in the world.

Ideal place to visit with your gtv6.

Visit Www.spettacolosportivo.eu for more info.

Re: driveshaft conversion

Cv joints are commonly used nowadays. Most beemers have at least one in the propshaft. Audi quattro uses at least two and also on the rs4 and rs6 model. Should not really be a problem i think. Aligning the engine is a good idea, also looks a lot better. For a racer i would also use stiffer mounts for...

Re: piston taper

Can't help you with the taper but usually in turbocharged engines they use more clearance all together to allow for more expansion . Bigger piston ring gaps are a good idea for instance.

Re: 24v Intake Runner Base Plates

I don't think there is much difference in the base plates.maybe between 2.5 and 3.0 there is a difference? If you look at the chrome runners you'll see a small taper just before the flange (this applies to the smaller diameter runner, the bigger runner has no taper).I believe the hole in the flange i...

That's a nice ride. You wouldn't guess there are two turbo's lurking in the engine bay.

Is the gearbox upfront in your car?

Re: Best standalone ecu system

Go ask the local tuner that has to map it for you what he prefers... Most ecu brands are getting close in quality. It's easier to buy a system with local support. Will save you from having to pay 'learning money'

Re: 24V => 12V crankshaft interchangability

164 style 24v crank will work. Later style is different due to oil pump drive.
