checked the pics on the 166 into 116 thread! the oilpump can barely been seen however.. but from what i can tell it's a big chunk of alu hanging to far back to clear the gtv6 sump... I think i have two options now, - machine GTV6 crank to fit and make a new sump. - replace oilpump with beltdriven sy...

also try if it starts if you put a direct 12v feed on it. the 75/milano has this problem a lot and most of the time it is due to an old ignition switch which has to much resistance... Just use the wire coming from the ignitionswitch to switch a relais open which in turn feeds the starter with a nice...

the 2.5 24v i can get for 300 euros... machining is likely to cost nothing since on of my friends can do that... so it would be rather cheap for me to use this engine instead of buying some other engine. I have a 3.0 24v 164 engine almost converted for use in a Giulietta and i also have 2 3.0 12v en...

So if i just take the cranks to the machineshop they can machine a bit off the gtv crank and then it would work in the 156 engine? Will the GTV6 sump fit under the 156 engine with the chaindriven pump? Zamani's option sounds better to me but i don't really understand how that should be done... Is it...

GTV6 crank in 156 v6 24v engine?
Hello, Is there anyone here who knows of a way to use a GTV6 crank in a 156 2.5 24v engine? I can get such an engine with crankshaft damage for little money and since i have half a GTV6 engine laying around i was wondering if i could make a nice engine out of those parts... It needs to go into a tra...

i use tinypic.com to post pictures. you just upload your picture to tinypic and then use the link... works great, except maybe the time it takes to upload... RZ/SZ uses the group A suspension set-up with uni balls and is regarded as one of the best balanced cars on the road. i have read somewhere th...

if you're into total transformations and a lot of hard work look at: http://www.grupposportivo.net/AlfaRomeoS3d.htm the yellow 33 v6 is nice but the real teaser to me is the 155 with the 24v wearing a big intercooler... 8) At the moment i'm building a 33 SW with RWD, simply using a Giulietta...

That has something to do with taxes. In italy you pay(ed?) a great sum of taxes if your car is over 2.0 litres of engine capacity. this is the reason there aren't that much 2.5/3.0v6 driven cars in Italy. To escape this ridiculous taxrule most manufacturers made 2.0Turbo engines, hence the 164 2.0V6...

I used Volvo 240 calipers, they are 4 pots. with the Giulietta 1.6 Spindles and the hubs and discs off a 75 TS this is a bolt-on job. only trouble was the double brake hose connection on the caliper, fixed it with a t-connector and two pieces of brake line. Also used a mastercylinder of some kind of...
