I hope that low crossbar on the main hoop isn't for harness mounting. The angle of the shoulder straps can cause spinal compression. They should be no more than 45 degrees from the shoulders as they pass over the seat. If you hadn't planned on it already, mount a high harness bar about level with th...

Looks like MS-II is weeks away. The beta testing is done and MT is ready.

There's a dedicated forum for MS-II on msefi.com. Take a look at the messages there.

I didn't have to do the Dave cap on mine. It's supposed to solve transients with a constant discharge rate.

The best test is to see how hot R10 is getting. If it's too hot to touch, it's too small.

2.2k should be fine for most applications. The warning is for the non-transistorized ignitions that don't have the 400v spikes. If it's reading directly off coil(-) there isn't much to disturb it. This is the scheme for them old points type ignitions. The L-Jet, and subsequently your MS is getting ...

BTW, make sure you add yourself to the success stories in this forum and msefi.com.

This is great.

I won't name names but I know there are a couple of forum readers with running cars that aren't on the list here...

MT2.25B is working well for me. I'm using the MSn-E .020i firmware though. The full option went away in 2.20 so disregard the 'full' datalog comments. Are you running the -E or B&G 2.98 firmware? I looked at your datalog and as suspected you have some nasty tach spikes. You can tune fine with th...

Michael, Just let me know where the datalog is. Or you can email me to me directly. I'll run it through MSLVV. You should download MSLVV anyway. It's a great tool. When you datalog, make sure you select 'full'. If you don't none of the companion programs like MSLVV and MST3000 will work. What MT are...

BTW, I'm running 3.3 in my car too. I get a small occasional spike but not enough to worry about. I also noticed the tach signal is a little worse when cold. I find cleaning the connector to the ignitor, coil and Hall sensor helps clean up the signal too. And my dash tach reads somewhat sorta accura...

Greg, That's what I was trying to say IRT BSFC. The assumption under stock configuration is .45. It can/will improve. The MAP sensor will very accurately measure plenum vacuum under certain conditions. A datalog with and without the AFM will show something but without a pot-type TPS, it's hard to sa...

Yep, tuning is difficult. Each engine is different. There's no way the G-Tech can tell power from ignition. However, the MS can gauge HP from fuel based on BSFC. BSFC = fuel_flow/HP or HP = fuel_flow * BSFC See this thread to add the Torque and HP gauges to MegaTune: http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.p...

Without seeing the datalog, it's hard to say whether those power numbers are the best you can do. Greg is, in theory, correct about the L-Jet. This is based on 2 factors though. AFR is 14:1 and BSFC is .45. We've previously assumed the Alfa V6 can get better than a .45 BSFC, and we know max power (i...

Yep. Vibrant Performance. They make a 3" 45deg tube that fits right onto the stock TB with the silicone coupler. It has a hole drilled in it already that the GM temp sensor screws right in to. Plug the wires from the temp sensor into the AFM connector. The tube is about $35. While you're at it,...

Bill, Do another run with the G-Tech and send me a datalog of the idle, the idle problem and the power run. Your last idle datalog you sent me showed a tach fluctuation up to 6400 RPM at idle. Make sure all your wiring is good. Clean the connectors on the ignitor/amplifier under the coil, and the co...

Still working on it. Looks like I'll get the SCCA EP Alfetta done before mine. I'll get some good info and a dyno run when I install in Wisconsin. I have an SCCA ITB Spider to do too before mine. Fuel and spark. It's a real challenge to get around the restrictive rules for IT. EP unlimited prep is g...
