I am happy with the Mobil 1 15W 50 in the turbo. I also like hearing all of these "exotic" oils we don't get here... Selenia, Helix... it is so..... F1!

Alfa is everything I would want it to be today (except that they are fwd and NOT sold in the US)... they are more reliable, have that distinctive Italian design and are more powerful today than ever. I keep hoping the Ferrari/Maserati stores become Ferrari/Maserati and Alfa! (although I am not holdi...

Wow, what a project! I will copy your post to a friend of mine who is much more educated in metallurgy than I am and see what I can learn.

Glenn, For the street... no tangible difference. 235/40 17 or 245/45 16 is as wide/big as you can go without fender well modifications on a 116 chassis. I am not sure about the 161 chassis. I should also note the front spoiler on the GTV6 reduces the amount of clearance at the front of the wheel wel...

Overall weight is part of it... the main issue jrreeve is pointing out (please excuse me if I am wrong about your position jr) is something called unsprung weight. Unsprung weight is a term used to describe that part of a vehicle's mass that is directly connected to the wheels, and not isolated thro...

Austin,

No, I don't have a sump guard on the car.

The suspension is AR Ricambi's sport suspension front and rear with yellow Koni dampers.

Thanks, I am glad you like it!

H,

Ronal makes a good product.

I have fit as large as 225/45 16's on 8" rims without rubbing. I do beleive a 245/45 16 would fit... although I have not tried it yet.

This is great tavern talk... not sure how practical though. Whilst it would be great fun to take these experiments to the wind tunnel (Barry and Mats make some excellent points), I don't see the opportunity to do that in the near or distant future. Shall we give Ron Dennis or Jean Todt a call... par...

To my fellow fans of the cross and serpent, I believe people do the best they can with the choices they think they have. When choices are plentiful, life is good. Kind of like going to a restaurant where they serve everything; everyone is happy. When choices are limited, life is frustrating. Kind of...
