Re: 24v cam timing adjustment
i didnt loosen the belt and just loosen the cam bolt for one full turn, then used homemade puller (plate with two hooks that go in the cam gear holes and screw in the middle that presses onto cam screw head) to loosen it from taper, than 25mm wrench and adjust the cam, hold it in place and tighten t...

Re: The WTF wheel adapter. 4x100mm to 5x98 wheel adapter
on the pic they are no way 4x100 to 5x98, maybe to 5x112 yes. Holes for 5x are on bigger diameter.

Re: Son of Cab a FWD racer?
Fwd can be fun, my 156 3.0 has become pretty fast car with 1000kg and 270-ish hp (there were 71 cars on timeattack)

Re: Son of Cab a FWD racer?
yeah why not :D but to have cheap and readily available parts, 156 or 147 should be easier to get body parts. My 156: stock-ish 2.5 v6 http://shrani.si/f/2f/qs/1oc7ILOA/sphavba.jpg 3.0 tuned and lightened to 1000kg cca, a lot of homemade parts: http://shrani.si/f/20/96/a2qtppq/4278563020473889189073...

Re: Head torque settings for 24V
i always do it like factory specs, but not 4x60. I do it 2x120 degree so to have no stop while the bolt is already torqued so much. I hope you understand

Wow Alan that 156 does grip and that's some serious driving ! Any pics of your suspension parts? i still remember your GTV how that stuck ! Here you can see the difference in rear arms: http://shrani.si/f/36/md/1b3V5zoI/20141224142709.jpg random pic of front arm: http://shrani.si/f/1S/cQ/2IExTTW1/r...

Re: 2013 Silverstone Classic ( 300hp beats 500hp !)
Why not fabricate your own parts, i modified my 156 a lot and all is homemade. Made lower arms with unibal and raised them at the subframe 10mm and mowed the upper alu piece that holds the upper arm more out and rotate it to gain more caster and less camber (i made lower arms longer and wheels 40mm ...

Re: 1-Year Notice of Forum Closure (End of 2018)
Please dont close this forum, because of it and because of Jim i finnaly have a reliable 3.0v6 engine in my racecar (Jim's book and all knowledge that he posted on here) It would be a shame to loose so much good information that this forum has. I will happily pay a small fee to help keep it alive. @...

Re: Balancing factor 3.2 V6 + solid flywheel 2.5?
balancing factor is described in Jim K. book.
50% is normal, for trackcar that sees a lot of revs, use 51 max 52%
I did my engine by the book and it revs smoothly and freely.

Re: Another big-brake kit for 15"wheels.
why dont you use 305 x 28mm 5x98 disc from new gtv. Then you wouldnt need to grind the caliper. I think that 3mm diametre difference wouldnt decrease braking performance too much

Trackday in Croatia, my 3.0 modified engine drift at 3:39 (it's 156 but suspension setup is quite radical) http://youtu.be/PDE4tcLjVmo?list=UUPJbb51RR8TJS7fGbEBChfg fastest lap (but still some traffic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr1l35_QuZk&list=UUPJbb51RR8TJS7fGbEBChfg Times of the day :) ...

Great build!
Plenum looks like a clean and simple design. Maybe you could make some trumpets inside (should give even more flow)
