Re: Alfetta Tail Lenses - Altissimo?

Yep, the Altissimo lenses only fit the Altissimo housings, I ran into this a few months ago while swapping some lenses around.

Re: festy - a pair of alfettas down under

Not really. I spent a few hours cleaning out the radiator as best I could, the garbage that I got out of it makes me think it's had a "stop leak" treatment at some point :( It's improved to the point where it no longer overheats while idling at least, but doubt it would keep it's cool much...

Re: festy - a pair of alfettas down under

Next up - add a flange for a T3 turbo rhs.jpg Finish welding it all up, machine the face flat, and a quick coat of high temp flat black manifold1.jpg Then onto the turbo. It's an old Garrett TB0356 off a late 80's Saab. It was free, and appears to be in pretty condition where it counts. It has a bes...

Re: festy - a pair of alfettas down under

Umm yeah, probably due for an update  Back around the time of my last post in this thread, I was toying with the idea of turbocharging so I taught myself just enough CAD to draw this up 1.jpg Then printed it out and glued to a piece of chipboard to see how close I was - imagine my surprise whe...

Re: Sound clips and video of Alfa Exhausts

2L Alfetta - stock engine with homebrew EFI. 38mm headers, 42mm secondaries, 57mm (2.25"x14") hotdog resonator then a 45* turn to exit in front of the left rear wheel. The sound in the video is pretty poor quality, my phone's microphone was instantly overloaded but it's the best I've got a...

Re: Jeroen stelt zich voor.

Wow - very impressive work there!
Was there something special about this car that warranted all that effort, or are rust-free bodies hard to find up there?
[edit - I see that's already been answered...]
Your english is perfectly understandable, which is more than I can say about some of MD's posts ;)

Re: Teaching an old Motronic dog new tricks

Using my hardware, the ML4.1 becomes a true real-time system so no emulators are required. With a standard factory bin, an eprom emulator will be just as good as my setup - but my 'custom' firmware will need the real-time hardware for some of the features I'm working on (eg functions like wideband i...

Re: Teaching an old Motronic dog new tricks

UK got the '142 ECU - but if you're running the '147 I'll start working on that one instead.
I'll PM you once I've got the 33 module ready (3-4 weeks probably) to organise getting one out to you.

Re: Teaching an old Motronic dog new tricks

Yesterday I added real-time support to the 12V 3.0 V6 firmware, and I've just finished writing a 33 version this morning. It's based on the '142 hardware code which I seem to recall is what you have, Australia got the '147 version for unleaded fuel/lambda sensor so I'll have to make a seperate firmw...

Teaching an old Motronic dog new tricks

Take one 75 TS ECU. Add a year of time and effort, some custom software and a small hardware upgrade... And the end result is a real-time programmable EMS that can be DIY tuned at home without any special equipment. Here's a short video showing the ignition being adjusted back and forth while the en...

Re: Suggested Racing Chapter Premise

Considering there's a (very quiet) area on this forum just for discussing the stock Bosch EMS, that might be a better place for things like this. The information on tuning/modifying these ECUs is very model specific, so for example those files for tuning a 155 V6 won't be of any interest to those lo...

Re: Suggested Racing Chapter Premise

Festy I have a cammed 155 V6, with shaved heads and squadra chip. But the chip is geeric, so would benefit from an xdf file. Botch Moron-tronic M1.7. I did a bit of research and I think the only M1.7 ECU used on the 155 V6 was the 0.261.200.537? There was a 0.261.203.829 ECU, but that's an M2.10.3 ...

Give me the ECU number, and I'll see what I can do.
It'll start with 0.261.2..

Re: Suggested Racing Chapter Premise

I'd be happy to help anyone looking to race a Bosch/Motronic powered Alfa. I'm most familiar with the earlier ECUs (75/164 TS, 12v 3.0 etc) but also know a bit about the 155 TS, 24v v6 and others. If your engine modifications aren't too crazy, I can assist with tuning the stock ECU, modifying rev li...
