Re: 24V Conversion - Flywheel Adapter Options
Hi MD, I followed Kevin’s advice and positioned the trigger wheel on the front of the crank pulley. I’m keeping the serpentine belt arrangement (deleting the power steering pump), and the original harmonic pulley rubber is in great condition.Small amount of machining for a friction fit with grub scr...

Re: 24V Conversion - Flywheel Adapter Options
Hi Kevin - I can’t find that email anywhere, please send again (I’m not on Facebook 🙃) I’m discovering how hard it is to find a solid flywheel for the 24V 3.0 (ie to use with an adapter rather than the existing flex plate). 24V Conversion - Flywheel Adapter Options
Hi Guys, I’m working through the last of the engine mods for dropping a 3.0 litre 24V V6 into my GTV6 - donor engine is from a 1998 166 (automatic). Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Hey Kevin - did you fabricate the threaded tubes yourself or are they available somewhere “off the shelf” by chance??
Considering how slowly my build is progressing I could do with an easy addition to the parts bin
Cheers

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
I just PM Ed him on the 4x4 forum - no chance he is selling these, I just scored a “spare” adapter when he modified his design! Exceptionally talented fabricator....

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Must be something in the air – I have also just started cutting out baffles to fit the 116 sump to a 166 24V: https://s25.postimg.cc/4jq9bmikv/Lower_sump4.png https://s25.postimg.cc/46yv5fslb/Lower_sump3.png PietereQ: that CNC file for the splash plate will be very welcome :D – PM sent I’m also head...
