Re: Crank case ventilation and negative pressure

Couple of things to keep in mind. You need to maintain zero air flow though the engine. As in not apply a vacuum source and have an atmosphere/open outlet somewhere. Needs to be sealed. Otherwise you’ll empty your sump of oil real quick. To be beneficial. You need way more than the -2.2psi in the vi...

Re: Busso V6 3.2 24v Coil Pack

Alfaaa1, both SteveR and 75evo are correct. You original drawing is capote the for what you want. (Transistor type ignition, controlled by the ecu) evo75’s drawing is also correct in that with a Cdi you reverse the polarity from the Cdi into to the coil. But you’ll notice in his drawing the positive...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

75Evo, true it would be best to use a cam position sensor to utilize full sequential injection. As there is already a crank sensor on the crank as you mentioned he could use the Distributor or a bolt on the cam pulley but I would be inclined to to use the location on the back of the left cyl head wh...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

If an affordable quality ecu is a consideration, I have a friend who has an Autronic Sm2 for sale. It will do more than everything you need and has auto tune, traction control etc... If you’d like more info, send me a pm and I’ll put you in touch with him.

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Hi Mike, the only time I have come across this is when there was an underlying problem/cause. In the case I’m aware of it was a cam bearing cap being installed 180deg out and after a short drive and up to temp it quickly seized the cam and caused a similar issue. Although luckily just at the right t...

Re: Coolant system pressure testing

You might want to actually test the system at a proper pressure. Generally 10-20% over the cap pressure. Mines 1.4bar or 21 psi. I check it at around 25-30psi. As at any point during running. It could reach at least the cap pressure.

Re: My rebuild!

Hi SydneyJules, I'm the guy with the 147 booster mounted If you need more info, but it's not a straight swap! But with what you have planned I'm sure you're up for it. Just a thought. The corvettes box is for all intent and purpose is just a t56 box. Although it's a 6 speed it really is just an over...

Re: Fuel Injector Spray Pattern

Hi 75evo. There are many factors that dictate the correct injector for an application as you we discovering, not just flow rate. I have a few questions which hopefully help you along your path. Are you remapping the factory computer or an aftermarket ecu How big are your cams, inlet manifold design,...

Re: Need s some advice on an Alfetta GTV 3.2 V6 24v conversion

Alfaaa1, so I remembered to check the dipstick for you. Basically the bottom of the factory stick you have is the low mark and the notch you see in the pic is the full mark. This will put your oil level 1mm or so below the factory levels. From the stop on the 24v dipstick its 530mm to the full mark ...

Re: Need s some advice on an Alfetta GTV 3.2 V6 24v conversion

Alfaaa1 I'll be tinkering with my 24v tomorrow. I'll measure the dipstick for you and take a photo. If you fill it to the level on your stick you'll be around 1.5 liters too much. Blow a lot of oil through your intake and smoke out the exhaust.

Re: Wheels

Hi Alfaaa1, yes you will def have to roll the wheel arch lips. With 15" wheels you may be able to squeeze them in but I doubt it, very precise offset and wheel alignment will help. I run 245/40/17 on 17x9" rims, standard arch with rolled inner lips. With an offset of approx 20-25mm can't r...

Re: Engine coolant mostly gone

If you've lost that much coolant you would see a rise in the oil level on the dipstick, an extra liter or two in the sump will surely show up on the dipstick. Check the carpet isn't wet. With A leaky heater core or tap, the carpet will soak up quite a bit of liquid.
