Re: Buying new fuel injectors

Try Mr injector UK. They do all the 2.5 injectors and have just down my injectors for my 3.7 . These were from a 164 originally which are technically same as an M3 not that this means anything to you :) .

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

A few hundred miles later in wet on muddy roads the underside is still in good shape after a wipe down. This would not be the norm to do this but I have been doing nut and bolt checks since since all the suspension has been put back. Sad reality at this stage I'm going to have to sell the car as its...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Hi John Firstly I am not an auto electrician but just looking around on the net and forums you can find most things. This was one of the videos but the switch in this video is earth based or activated while the GTV switch sends positive activation. So I will show in a diagram my wiring below. https:...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

There is so much info on this forum but you just have to take time and look for it. A lot of people are used to instant answers and don’t have patience to search for it . It used to be a lot busier with a lot of new builds but sites like this needs builds like yours as it always fascinating whatever...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Paintwork looks awesome . 130 is my favourite red hence my track car and Junior is that colour. 😀😀😀 Everyone has their opinions but it's just darker red than the original we got on our GTV6 in SA . The code for the GTV6 is 530 but that even comes in three shades. Just can't go wrong with 130 :) Look...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

I have been racking up some enjoyable mileage on the back roads around Goodwood. The gap in these cars from when they are "worn " to like new is incredible as they are such drivers cars where you keep pushing them and feeling the feedback. When they are worn you miss that feedback and positiveness i...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Thanks guys. Really doubt it's gonna stay clean with the current weather rolling in. At least I know it's good for another twenty years. I had a small issue with the new reverse light switch staying on and after removing it and comparing it to the original switch you need to add 1mm washer extra. Be...

Re: Old F1 Engine Development Documentary

I forwarded that link on to few of my petrol head mates . It’s so i formative if that’s what you call it ...mind boggling . Atleast these days you have 3d printing to make the sand box for the castings, that must save huge amount of hours.

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Champagne time ! The car went through MOT with no advisories or any issues. It was slightly on lean side due to fact it's from high altitude. ( Pretoria/ Johannesburg) . I think I have got over the fact the underside won't remain sparkling and now I can get on an use it. It's rained so much lately t...

Re: MD has a racing team in the UK?

George has spent ages tweaking the front suspension and the LS to get this car to turn " perfectly "
Spindle flex is a major issue but new mods to the upright will help a bit . Will put some pics of this up later .
I would there is good company in our little store :)

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Feels a bit sad the project is at its end or nearly end. I'm loving the steering wheel position and set up mods with gear-lever as well. Just so comfortable to do some " aggressive " touring :) I did a rebleed of brakes today and rear brake adjustment. So I totally slacked off hand brake then adjust...

Re: 75 Twin Spark Engine Head Removal Tool

We used to hang these engines for days suspended over old tyres and just spraying WD40 down the bolts. Sometimes you would here a massive clonk in the night :) The last engine ( nord) we could not split heads off no matter what even with a few bottle jacks .... Engine went to the bin ! Maybe spark e...

Re: 75 Upgrade

Hi , Weekend Warrior :) I have several conversion bits and pieces for that engine. I have made extras of these every time I did this conversion. Parts that I have are front thermostat conversion, bracket to attach alternator, oil filter attachments with threaded insert , trigger wheel( 60-2) pick up...
