Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Hi Alfaaa1,as we have only seen bits and pieces of pics of your build and was thinking if you have time to repost from the beginning on new thread but in this section . Must say you have done an amazing job on the engine as well . Would do it justice and guys who have not seen it from beginning can ...

Re: Australian Bush Fire

We have been watching it on the news everyday in UK and my Mom is out in NSW visiting my sister at the moment and it looks and sounds so horrendous. The loss of animal life is absolutely frightening not to mention the civilian casualties. Our prayers and thoughts to your families in Oz .

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Top job !! This is going to be a very interesting thread. Glad you raised the pick up points for cross bracing in engine bay at the shock towers as I had to space it up quite a bit to get the bar to cross over the plennum. Is it possible to go dry sump on new project so you can move the engine back ...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE

Merry Christmas to all. Really hope their is some realistic chance of getting those bushfires under control in NSW but I see its all over Oz. Those poor animals and fire fighters ! My mom did mention they had good rain in Sydney last night but need loads more while we're so under water here ! Md, I ...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Sadly this car has not been getting much use this season due to all the work on the 2.5 and Junior, however I thought i need to do some work on the electrics in preparation for the heated front windscreen. Then I realised I had forgotten what are all my relays and fuse boxes were for so hence I orde...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Md, have you got any spare 4C engines lying around. Ironically I have a mate fitting a Giulia Qv twin turbo motor in his 4C .. after lengthening the chassis. Rule 1 it also has to be Alfa to keep a soul in there :)

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Md , looking at the above pic and if money grew on trees ( like in Greece ) it would be nice to see some IMSA arches on th car :) By the way your clutch inovations with the spider cage are keeping my friends black 75 in the UK and few other big bore GTVs alive and kicking in SA . Just glad you never...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Looking very impressive ! Md what about the cage going through to the shock towers and a few and inermittant welds around the all the structure work in engines bay. My old race car used to bend before I added those bars in and crack around joins below windscreen. Yes the coil overs were 230kg/cm Ahh...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Look toward to this project MD . My mate here in UK who races the black 75 in the Alfa series and now into a mixed series realised there are no other transaxles running with owners pushing development on suspension. Obviously everyone would shout yeah yeah it's all been done before but here we are h...

Re: Buying new fuel injectors

Try Mr injector UK. They do all the 2.5 injectors and have just down my injectors for my 3.7 . These were from a 164 originally which are technically same as an M3 not that this means anything to you :) .

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

A few hundred miles later in wet on muddy roads the underside is still in good shape after a wipe down. This would not be the norm to do this but I have been doing nut and bolt checks since since all the suspension has been put back. Sad reality at this stage I'm going to have to sell the car as its...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Hi John Firstly I am not an auto electrician but just looking around on the net and forums you can find most things. This was one of the videos but the switch in this video is earth based or activated while the GTV switch sends positive activation. So I will show in a diagram my wiring below. https:...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

There is so much info on this forum but you just have to take time and look for it. A lot of people are used to instant answers and don’t have patience to search for it . It used to be a lot busier with a lot of new builds but sites like this needs builds like yours as it always fascinating whatever...
