Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Really glad you gonna boost this engine ! What’s gonna be ... turbo or supercharge :) Make no mistake their is more than enough power in there to be unleashed . What capacity you looking at there ? Edit : I see it’s 1.8 . Way to go .. just need to find out what where to get those Head gaskets the ma...

Re: Our 1600 Junior restoration

This little car has turned out really well and drives beautifully. Unfortunately I can’t keep it in SA as I have no storage facilities and my Mom finds it little to heavy to steer but then again she’s nearly 80 and used to power steering of the Spider, so it has been sold to a really good collection...

Re: Our 1600 Junior restoration

A few small other bits fitted and including the full carpet set for the boot . I have left these wallet draining items until last as I wanted the car mechanically spot on . The rear number plate lights were perished and discoloured ( MOT failure) if I had to bring car to UK. New fuel tank rubber cat...

Re: Our 1600 Junior restoration

These cars never came with side mirrors so this is must for me in traffic .... especially SA traffic .. the taxis come from all directions. Once holes were drilled they got touched up with paint then the usual copper grease on stainless steel cap head bolts with nuts. This means door panel off obvio...

Re: Our 1600 Junior restoration

Another year gone by since I have worked on my late fathers 1600 Junior. I have now just arrived in SA to do the final touches and complete the jobs i never got around to do in my last visit to South Africa. Having said that their was one thing I was not happy with before I left and that was the car...

Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Hi Alfaaa1,as we have only seen bits and pieces of pics of your build and was thinking if you have time to repost from the beginning on new thread but in this section . Must say you have done an amazing job on the engine as well . Would do it justice and guys who have not seen it from beginning can ...

Re: Australian Bush Fire

We have been watching it on the news everyday in UK and my Mom is out in NSW visiting my sister at the moment and it looks and sounds so horrendous. The loss of animal life is absolutely frightening not to mention the civilian casualties. Our prayers and thoughts to your families in Oz .

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Top job !! This is going to be a very interesting thread. Glad you raised the pick up points for cross bracing in engine bay at the shock towers as I had to space it up quite a bit to get the bar to cross over the plennum. Is it possible to go dry sump on new project so you can move the engine back ...

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE

Merry Christmas to all. Really hope their is some realistic chance of getting those bushfires under control in NSW but I see its all over Oz. Those poor animals and fire fighters ! My mom did mention they had good rain in Sydney last night but need loads more while we're so under water here ! Md, I ...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Sadly this car has not been getting much use this season due to all the work on the 2.5 and Junior, however I thought i need to do some work on the electrics in preparation for the heated front windscreen. Then I realised I had forgotten what are all my relays and fuse boxes were for so hence I orde...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Md, have you got any spare 4C engines lying around. Ironically I have a mate fitting a Giulia Qv twin turbo motor in his 4C .. after lengthening the chassis. Rule 1 it also has to be Alfa to keep a soul in there :)
