Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

I got a really nice invite to join Auto Italia Magazine on their Motorsport day at Brooklands on Sunday . Weather was not great for standing around but much more fun for the track time we got. Must say I was really impressed with the Toyo semi slicks in the wet on the track and on the drive home. Al...

New wheel arch liners for Alfa GTV 6

I have a spare new set of wheel arch liners still in their packaging. The selling price of these in UK with VAT is £192 from Hoghwood Alfa. I am selling my pair for £120 excluding delivery , BUT here's my problem they are in Denmark ! These are a definite must for anyone wanting to save their GTV fr...

They are Vari calipers made in South Africa and I see also Austalia . http://vari.com.au/caliper-family-discriptions/ Mine are from 2012 so the new stuff is really up there with the the top brands. It's been a caliper used in our V8 series for many years. I have just bought a new set for my out boar...

Re: rs crossmember nuts

Their have been loads of cars I have worked on when they nuts in the panel are stripped . What I have been forced to do is drill throught the nut to make it bigger then when you want to tighten up crossmember you need two people as now you will put a loose nut with your finger tips into the recess p...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

If it's just head removal job then always in car . No faf with prop , need hoist etc . So in summary far simpler to remove heads in car.

Re: Wheels

It’s an Ap Caliper with dust seals so it is larger than most aftermarket lightweight kits. It’s purpose was for road and track use designed by an AP agent here in the UK for the workshop. It is very pricy but this company that made it is ISO9001 cerified. Go onto Alex’s website and you will see more...

Re: CSC - long primaries

You can cut your manifold flange out like the 24v one if you have the time but just don't separate them. I would wrap the the mount only not the manifold and usually it's the right side mount. You must use the copper gaskets between primaries and down pipe . They only have three bolts to to tighten ...

Re: CSC - long primaries

Whatever you do don't cut that plate as its under tension and you won't get exhaust on . Have you the copper gaskets with the set which go bewteen primaries and down pipe ? I have installed few of these csc pipes and not one has fitted perfectly . Value for money is very good but always had to make ...

Re: Wheels

Glad you went for those as you find the dish of the rim has been diamond cut and does not have curve profile . They look really good and have used these a few time with the black and silver badge . The offest is just perfect to fill the rear arches . Best thing about these 15 Ronals they allow for t...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff

Last Goodwood trackday car was to noisy with the side exit even with three boxes it failed . So realised side exit will always be to noisy so that's when I fitted the Ansa box ( rear silencer ) which I found a bit to stifling and it was not a free flow . As we know we can send the car in and get a s...

Re: Which would you choose and why?

Definitely busso twin turbo :) followed by Nord turbo I learnt once you break your first crown and pinion you learn to drive it more smoothly on the road and can still be very reliable . I know in nanny state ( MD country ) you can't speed around but in SA in UK there are loads of places in the coun...

Re: New GTV6 project, 1981 Rosso

Michael that GTV looks like it's pretty good to shape to be restored . Always so much easier when it's not rotten . Look forward to watching progress. Are you going down the route of Powdercoating all suspension bits and plating all the associated bits . Good that it does not have a sun roof as thos...
