Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

MD , when I made drastic changes to my gear box cooling and moving to redline oil I significantly reduced the breakages . So more cooling in my 40mins races means better crown /pinion tolerances …. I think .. it was not mere coincidence but really did have an impact

Adrian’s lightweight Giant Killer 2.0

As the heading suggests this car has always been a massive thorn in the sides of big V8s it’s had to do battle with over the years . I remember racing against its in our Trofeo series back 2007 but I needed 3.7 power to get away from it … probably mainly due to lack of driving skills but down the st...

Re: South Africa - 1982 GTV6 2.5 Restoration (50/100)

Good on you Mike to see your journey ! I think I used my A/C once in SA but then it was so poor I did not bother . The joburg heat and humidity is nothing close to what MDs feels there in Oz . I have spent quite a few months there and it’s honestly insufferable so I can see his need for it . Very go...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

You certainly have been really busy ! Small things like central jacking point on the front that strong and low enough for low nose Jack make life easy unless you have inbuilt gas jacks . You don’t really worry about rain into bulkhead in Oz . On the current turbo project we need engine bay bracing b...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

The look of those pinion teeth match exactly what all those broken boxes looked like when I was racing with way to much power on the standard box . So as you might remember form ages ago I ran two cars . One with gearbox uprfront keeping dedion with only 4% difference in weight ratio and the other I...

Re: V6 12v Individual Throttle Body

Zamani explain what you mean ?
The design of what ?
If airbox you talking about then you can use the original airbox .
As in the photo above . Or you can modify an original airbox and incorporate much larger trumpets like I’m doing . Does this answer questions

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project

Hi MD , I am glad you’re flying the flag on development here . Interesting your comments your choice of supercharger . We await your findings then steal or hijack all that knowledge SA style !! I have been busy on a separate project which I will post up on the forum soon. Also busy with a twinspark ...

Re: V6 12v Individual Throttle Body

Some pics with original airbox on . Note the SA GTV airbox is extended over the original Sei airbox . The trumpet look was just for testing an provisional mapping so can get to all adjustments.

Re: V6 12v Individual Throttle Body

Hi , Michael . The torque with carbs and throttles is superb on the 12V . A friend of mine and I have have spent the last year and a bit making throttles for the carb 3.0 SA GtV that’s a direct bolt on application , including triggle wheel , and all brackets. Original airbox fits on top . This is no...
