good spot , that makes sense, sinistro and destro for left and right, I wonder what the sign and 3 is all about?. Maybe I might have to go and badger my local alfa dealer to see what the symbol and 3 signifies. Is there any other way to identify 2.5 and 3.0 heads externally?

lively euro spec gtv6

HI all, its been a few years since I drove a gtv6 other than the one I currently own. I drove another standard euro spec 2.5 yesterday, I noticed immediately how much more lively and powerful mine feels to drive, I have suspected for a few years that the cylinder heads were tinckered with when the h...

Supercharging

Hi all, having recently finished all the bodywork on my 83 gtv6, I have decided to go for a small, modest supercharger, leaving the Bosh Ljet, headers etc stock. I have been advised that magnuson mp62 is a good system that I can fit and run to a stock 2.5 without intercooling, for about 200-220 HP. ...

if it is a small end or big end bearing, depending on how loud the knock is, you may get away ith it for a long time. I had a 3l supra with a worn small end bearing. I just ran it on a slightly thicker oil, and it lasted another 40,000 miles before it gave in, and I didnt nurse it either,I just drov...

i'll have to try that, it must be lack ouf use that has done it, if I do have to pull the clutch, i'll go to the single plate set up, I found that set up was better on another gtv6 I had.

cheers

clutch release bearing

anyone have neat trick for an irritating little noisy release bearing without pulling the tranny out? 83 gtv6 double plate clutch. its been in winter storage for 9 months. The transmission behaves perfectly, but in neutral, the release bearing is a bit noisy, like a dry sound. Ive done about 400 mil...

Central locking just tops it off nicely, power steering would have been a nice addition for parking too!

Barry,

many thanks, just recovered an entire CL system from a Fiat uno Turbo i.e

compared the solanids, and they are the same, time to fit it and see what happens. I like the idea of splicing in a panel switch, very nice.

what an absolute obscene piece of shite! This guy either had a total good taste by pass or got in the wrong q when good taste was being dished out. I owned an immaculate 6 month old p4, looked stunning, but I am the first to admit, the P4 was a total piece of crap, Alfa were asleep when they rolled ...
