Re: Spring Rate to Damper Ratios???

I don't know if I should sneak this question in here [where we're talking about shocks] or start a new thread... I found a pair of Koni 80-2241 Sport [yellow] and 2242 Sport [yellow], early discontinued fitment for 116 [Alfetta GT]. Does anyone have shock damping data on the 2241 Sport's??? Thanks!!...

Re: Steering Alignment

It is [probably] the rubber bushing at the base
of the steering column and it is even more
confusing [and less fun] when it happens while
driving and the car skips lanes.

Ronal A1 15x7 Alfetta 4x98 cool wheels

I put a set of A1 Ronal wheels on Alfabb. Not practical to ship out of the USA, I suppose.

Thanks!

Re: Lowering the Rear Roll Center

I would rather use a Alfa 6 hub like everyone uses here. Check this pic out. Look carefully Dooley told me to use Alfa 6 uprights a long time ago. I thought I'd seen photos of them somewhere [where???] but exactly how are they different? Is the spindle height higher or is the difference above the s...

Re: Performance Headers GTV6

Some years ago I read an article about engine development that GM funded at the time of the introduction of their 2.8l 60 degree V6. This was a serious project, with several major race shops, including Katech, involved. Of course I can't find the article. But they built a lot of headers. What was le...

mats When you first remove the nuts securing the head, all the studs are proud about 12mm or so and the plate pushes against them and therefore pulls the head away from the block. The factory tool fits on just one cylinder and has dimples machined in where each stud fits against the plate. I was ta...

Piero Pesaro?

On an unrelated subject [but related to Alfas] I am looking for Piero Pesaro, who does/did race an Alfa 75, in England? Anyone have contact information?

Are you sure an M5 spins its driveshaft to 8000 rpm? I thought it was way less since the gearbox is up front.
Way less in first gear but in top gear the driveshaft is overdriven, spinning faster than engine speed.

I asked the guy selling the Previa flex couplings if he could share some approximate dimensions: so u were asking about the measurements? thickess of plate: 2cm. hole to hole about: 32 mm diameter of plate 12.5 cm the hole's width: i have 2 different ones...14mm or 12.5mm [ebay item number: 8002272...

The Bmw M5 donut "seems" quite robust. But it is not designed to spin at engine rpms... right? Then again, I don't think Alfa's where designed for that either :P The M5 driveshaft sees around 8000rpm if it can pull its overdrive top gear. I assume BMW tests at that speed. The M5 part is m...

That's a neat design. Should be easy to build too. I think so. The photo is of a Previa coupling used for the shaft that runs forward from the hidden engine to the ancillaries in front. For another view of the design there is a nice photo on an ebay auction [number 8002272745] which I'll post below...

That was easy. I also saw a photo in a trade magazine of a Prius flex coupling. The design is very interesting! It is a flat machined plate with 6 bushings pressed in.

...here in Holland we modify the driveshats to use the BMW M5 donuts I am going to try to attach a photo of an M5 flex... and here is a link showing the M5 flex compared to its smaller siblings. I am also interested in what modifications are necessary. --Carter http://www.e30m3performance.com/insta...
