That's the actual car in the pic? You've already got it painted?
Sure there will be plenty of eyes watching your work, including me, so hope you keep posting the progress reports and sharing pics

Re: Alfa Romeo 75 / Milano "Veloce" body kit
Hi,
So this Veloce have been option for 75 at least in England, but does anybody have any kind of official document about the parts, or the option list? I would need some sort of document which could been used to prove that these have been available from new.

Re: TS bottom end rebuild
The gasket is already at 1.4mm before compressing. Probably it's around 1.3mm when on use. Looks good

Re: Performance on road, 80-120 km/h
Some interesting cars added to list. Please note that some of those don't fullfill all the accuracy criteries on measurement side, especially those with question mark on leftmost column..

Re: TS bottom end rebuild
Fast question: How thick are the Reinz, Goetze and Spesso gaskets? I have new Corteco and Payen gaskets here and their thickensses are 1.75mm and 1.85mm uninstalled. I also have used Payen which is 1.75mm, which was too high for my engine.. Maybe it would be 1.7mm as installed, so maybe Corteco woul...

Re: Performance on road, 80-120 km/h
That jeQQ's car is faster than it should, but Sik's car is more like expected. The fast one was mine before sold it to jeQQ. It was performing so well that I checked the engine number, but it wasn't QV engine either. If I would still have it, would probably open it to see what it has eaten

Re: Performance on road, 80-120 km/h
It's a good compromise in many ways, but not the best for all cars. If the car have so good power to weight ratio that the 80-120 km/h goes under 5 sec, then the error on acceleration time may get too high, depending on the tools. Then I would suggest higher speeds (on closed test area of cource). O...

Performance on road, 80-120 km/h
Here's some 80-120 results from Finnish alfa forum discussion. I thought this would be interesting for this forum also. http://jakita.com/pics/kiihtyvyys-aika-teho.jpg The values on green background are average wheel powers on the rpm range used. These are as accurate as the values used for calculat...

Re: Balancing factor of the 3.0 12v?
I had a odd feeling for V6 cranks and confirmed that from EPER.. All the 3.0 V6 cranks, including 75, 164, new spider, RX, SZ and Lancia Thema, basicly all the engines with the old oil pump layout are replaced with the same crank, number 96412842. This means Alfa doesn't care about balancing factor....

Re: Balancing factor of the 3.0 12v?
Jim, That's the same information what I've found too. That's because I have also been discussing with US V8 guys and balancing shops just as you and even with balancing machine manufacturers. The balancing shop I'm using might be the most accurate in Finland, and they spoke long about the accuracy d...

Re: Balancing factor of the 3.0 12v?
Jeff, The complete assembly was from 24V 164. It was running great, but now I must change both wheels for rwd use, so balancing must be done with new parts. The wheels are going to be custom parts. Here's some pics about the job. http://jakita.com/pics/3000/QV/060320101206b.jpg http://jakita.com/pic...

Re: Balancing factor of the 3.0 12v?
I've found that at least some Alfa 12V engines have been balanced originally to 47%. Then it's quite common to balance these among many other V6 engines to 50%, and think it will work fine. Some are suggesting using even higher 52-54% if engine lives on higher rpm. The 47% came from two balance mach...
