Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Hi Kevin, No news so far, as I haven't driven the car yet. I think the stock sump in fwd cars is fine when the engine is still transverse, but I guess theres also a reason that longitudinal engines had the pickup situated more to the front. With this mod the pickup is more or less where it would be ...

Re: "Patches" MD's Final Racing Project
Hi Kevin, Good to hear from you. I don't recollect seeing your coil over set up. However I will just mention a couple of things. 1. The springs I use have a small radius 65mm ID. 2. The damper is an upside-down version so it requires little room below the UCA. These short and small diameter springs...

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
As for the pump, the idea was to move the pickup back to the front where it was originally in the RWD sump. Fortunately, the oil assembly on these pumps is very simple and the rear part comes off clean and can be worked on easily. Few pics with pickup held by a temporary jig inside the oil sump to c...

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Can't let a good winter go to waste, so decided to iron few things after first trackday in '22 The oil starvation issue really discouraged me to do any events later that year, so this was first on the table. This is how big end bearing on cyl 6 looked like: Actually looks much worse on the photo tha...

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Was waiting for the photoshop master to show up eventually :D Moving the pump intake forward seems like best of both worlds, however I remember there was little space between the screen and the bottom of the pan, I don't know whether adding spacer would help, the oil will still slosh to the front of...

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Hi Pieter How did your track day go as you mentioned one was coming up . I see Extreme tuning exhausts also do headers for 24v that don’t come upwards like yours but also merge in one just past the engine mount . Any sound clips ? Hey! forgot to make an update, I guess it sounds not bad :D https://...

Re: Project 2 : front mount SA GTV 3.0 - Sei diff
Haha the joys of side exhaust; sounds good, looks good, makes working on the car much easier... there always has to be a catch doesn't it? :D Over here we have this simple trick if you are on the verge of failing the noise test. A push - on 90 degree tip that directs the exhaust to the ground. It re...

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Thanks Zam!
Just using Catcams cam wheels, the cams themeselves are regrinds of factory cams. As for starter yes, it sounds different than the stock chainsmoker cough starter Now I'm using Alfa GT 3.2 starter, those headers wouldn't clear stock starter.

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Thanks for the kind words guys! ...one thing I don't understand is why you left that wrap around condom on your steering wheel ?? Impact protection of some kind perhaps? Had my face wrapped for last two+ years, so what do you expect :D it was only natural to wrap all contact surfaces haha Mike, thos...

Re: GTV6 3.2 24V
Once the engine was rebuilt, the work could resume. As for the engine management, the choice was easy here; went for Ecumaster EMU Black which is most popular stand alone in my neck of the woods, also very hard to beat in terms of price/quality. And for long time I really wanted to have a simple pro...

GTV6 3.2 24V
Well It's been a while, and I figured that it made more sense to start a new thread, since my GTV6 has long ceased being a road car anyway and the pictures in the old thread are lost as well. My thanks go to the amazing, helpful community of this forum, that shared all that precious alfa transaxle k...

Re: 166 24v into 116 GTV
Those are really nice looking adapter plates Kevin!
Guys, I'm wondering does anyone here have cad drawings of the exhaust flanges for the 3.0/3.2 24V? My engine came without the exhaust headers, and I'm having problems sourcing original ones to copy the dimensions from.

Re: Short Shift
Looks nice, but I haven't heard of anyone manufacturing anything shifter related for our cars. As this will be the final modification that I have planned for my 24V project, I was thinking of doing something along these lines; https://i.imgur.com/P3DxSJm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/g9PVNCS.jpg https://i...
