Location of Chassis number
Hi fellows. I am attempting to register my Alfa Romeo Callaway in Spain. They want to see the chassis number, not the VIN on the plate under the windscreen. According to the owner's manual it is stamped into the firewall under the passenger vent below the windscreen. For the life of me I can't see i...

When GTV6's Meet
When GTV6's Meet For the first time in 20 years I actually saw another GTV6 on the road in Los Angeles. Who was that in the silver GTV6 in Marina Del Rey on Friday? I was motoring home in my 1986 Alfa when I crossed paths with another. We hooted and waved. When you see another GTV6 on the road it ma...

Additional Motor images
Two additonal engine bay images. Forgive the flashlight holding up the hood. The plastic lock which holds the hood arm up needs to properly fastened. It's on the to do list.

After nearly three years, my Callaway is done.
Long road and very well worth it. Took it for a nice long drive and enjoyed every moment. My Callaway Twin-Turbo is done save for a bit of work to the hood scoop and re-install of navigational headunit. Currently has 980 miles on it and at 1,500 will go back to Historic Race Engineering for a final ...

Re: Hello, newish GTV6 Owner in Los Angels
Thanks Greg. After nearly three years I pick it up on Tuesday! Just finished the Magnaflow exhaust and wow!!! The sound it nuts and it even seems to have a bit more oomppf. Will snap pics of the exhaust system up on the lift before I pick it up. All that is left is to reinstall the navigation unit a...

Re: Hello, newish GTV6 Owner in Los Angels
Thank you, Mats. That means a great deal to me coming from you. It's been a very long haul...with a bit to go. The plate is a UK plate, with option colour, but the frame is a German one I had laying around until I can have one made which says Alfa Romeo on it. It's technically illegal to run with a ...

Re: Callaway Road Test
The end is near. I actually had the opportunity to drive the Callaway today on the freeway for the first time in nearly three years. I had a blast. Still loads of short list items, mostly related to tiddying up.
A few iPhone photos.

Re: Hello, newish GTV6 Owner in Los Angels
Two snaps of what is going on in the boot. The custom bass box, amp, navi unit and aux fire extinguisher. Still scruffy back there, but will get it all sorted and cleaned up. Here is an image of the HRE rims and tyres. It is not sitting on the ground but on the lift and will seat much better when th...

April "Callaway" Update
Lots of progress to report. I was out of the country for ages and only yesterday stopped down to Historic Race Engineering to visit Greg Armstrong and see progress being made. Happy to report he requested current registration and insurance so we could road test the Alfa Romeo. engine134.jpg The moto...

System.
Sorry, been a bit since I visited. The fuel managment system is mega-squirt. Progress is very, very slow due to almost everything being custom built. Wiring harness was in a bit of a sad state so replaced it all. Working on the lighting system which, of course was not so easy either. Osram lamps, an...

"Callaway Update
Coming along slowly <sigh>. Made it down to Costa Mesa in my daily driver, 1999 S-500 Lorinzer and spotted Martin de Campo's Callaway #1 parked right next to me. Went in and was pleased to see the Callaway motor is mostly done and we even fired it up. Quite a moment after not having heard the motor ...

Holding pattern
Ha ha. Where does one begin. Called Historic Race Engineering on January 19th...car was to be done on the 1st. Didn't hear back for a week. When I rang again I was told they had not touched it for a month. I was understandably bent over this. Paid additional money for custom parts and not completed....

Last batch of snaps.
In the last snap can be seen the new stainless steel radiator which has almost 40% more cabacity and will hopefully keep the Alfa running cool. We've also added a low thermostat switch.
