steering knuckle

I used a vise to push the rubber back in. Then I welded the insert with the outer bushing. Works like a charm and never had another problem. Oh, by the way, no vibration.

Kevin and Ben: What ever happened to your fixes? I now have the same problem....the rubber has come loose. My mechanic says the part is no longer available. He will make a decision on what to do after pulling the column. Any new solutions or sourcing is appreciated.

Euro bumpers for GTV6

Does anyone know a source for euro bumpers for the GTV6? And while on the subject, do those bumpers require any fabrication or different brackets to fit the American version. They make the car look even sleeker, while eliminating about 60 pounds. Any suggestions or comments on whether it is a worthw...

My '84 GTV6 is hard to start in the morning

Just purchased an '84 GTV6. Did a tune-up and changed the oil. It runs strong and smooth with lots of power, however, it's hard to start in the morning. If I wait till mid morning, it starts first crank. Or, if I leave it in the garage overnight it starts right up. I live in L.A., so the weather is ...
