I installed MS on my GTV6 this spring, and when i came to the point of routing the vacuum hose into the cabin, i found a vacant hole complete with original rubber plug in the firewall on the passenger side. Next to where the main cablebundle goes in. To install the hose was done in notime.. Alfa had...

Ok, but should i apply the pressure on the pivot-bolt itself, or should i place a deep socket around the bolt threaded part and press on the bushing ? Just from looking at the A-arm, it seems that the pivot-bolt is trapped between the bushings, so it would be necessary to press the bushings out away...

Did you get the bushings replaced Michael ? If so, did you find an effective procedure for it ? I'm about to do the same on my right lower a-arm, and i wonder where to apply pressure to get the bushings out and without damaging the pivot-bolt. The factory manual calls for a special tool for this job...

Really nice work on that adapter, David. If it is possible, could you make a dimensional drawing of your mounting plate ? I would like to copy your work there. I'm currently re-working my adaptercable, with shorter wires, so i can get it to fit inside the L-Jet compartment. I had the MS box hanging ...

I don't have a complete list of cars with similar L-Jet, but several BMW's from the late 80ies have them. Other European brands as well, like Opel and Fiat should have them. I made a pigtail to connect to the L-Jet wiring harness. I took the 35 pin Amp connector out of a broken L-Jet case (from a Fi...

Thanks, what type of wideband sensor do you have ? Was it easy to install the controller for it and get it to play with MS?

not much activity on the forum... well, solved my problem today. Changed the lambda to a three-wire version. I'm now getting the signal in Megatunix. It turned out that the insulation on the wire from the old lambda had melted on the CSC header-pipe. So the signal was shorted to ground. Have tried t...

Success, but lambda not working

Today was a beautiful sunny day, so i decided that now was the time to install MS into the GTV6. Put everything in, had to change over two wires for the TPS before first start, due to inverted signal when applying throttle, but otherwise everything looked good. So i decided to fire up, and the engin...

I think there are some descriptions in other threads about making an adapter plate for the TPS. With a bit of grinding and with the adapter, your TPS should be possible to bolt on. I havn't done it myself, so i can't give exact details. About that tube from Vibrant performance; how do you attach the...

Have any of you tried out the Megatunix software with the extra code? Does it work well ? I am planning to use a laptop with Linux for my MS install, and then Megatunix is the way to go. I have Megatunix running in stim-mode with the default code. Megatunix has support for the E code, but i havn't t...

mapdot vs. tps

Have any of you tried both the mapdot code and compared it to running the MS with the true TPS ? Is there any difference? I have been planning to install my MS with the mapdot code, but since winter is long and cold here in norway and install/tuning will have to wait until spring, i have actually ha...

I had a check with the multi-meter yesterday, with the MS on the Stim, and were able to read 9V off the banded end of the underneath diode. Remember, I have done the mod. exactly according to Peter Florance drawing. So 9V there means 9V out on the fuel pump pin. And that is what we want. So i think ...

Okay, thanks guys.. I actually followed the schematics of Peter Florance exactly since i thought that was the most correct piece of information. So i'll have to re-solder the Q3 and the underneath diode again.. good to get it sorted before installation.

Fuel Pump Mod.

I have followed Steve R's description during my assembly. When i came to the Fuel pump modification, i couldn't get it to match up with the schematic of Peter Florace. In Peters drawing, the banded end of the diode goes to Q3 collector hole. Steve says in the description to put it to "the furthest h...
