Re: SA GTV6 2.5 restoration and few minor mods !

Kevin,
One day when you least expect it, you will receive a giant hard copy letter delivered by a flat bed Mack truck.
The envelope will contain a letter of congratulations for winning the ALFA ROMEO GTV6 NOBEL PRIZE OF 2019.

Re: Son of Cab a FWD racer?

I'm back !! I cracked the Da Vince Code and my left nut but I am here. So having looked at the statistics of 269 views of this topic with 3 votes for and 1 ambidextrous, I think the real message is that most users of this Forum don't give a shit one way or another. So to spare everybody the pain, I...

Son of Cab a FWD racer?

I will be guided by you-the members of this site and your feedback. Here's the run down. Transaxle cars are becoming more and more rare from natural attrition here and the cars themselves are moving up in prices and so the old notion of just hacking one up for racing is for me at least becoming an i...

Starter Motor Heat Shield

Been a while..haven't been able to log onto the site. I thought I would share this little modification with you to minimise the radiant heat stress on the starter motor from the exhaust manifold. Not only can it lead to wiring getting fried with cracked insulation but the solenoid itself may suffer ...

Re: Driving in Australia

OH SHIT.
The secret is out !!!

The reason why South Africans, Brazilians, Kiwis and the True Blue crowd make the best drivers in the world.
Shame on you Zeefa. You have broken the Code.

For your penance, give generously to the poor.

Re: My rebuild!

Unfortunately I am getting more round as time goes on.. :D I have never been away. Just keeping a low profile to stay away from that pesky Greekster. Anytime soon they will be removing the white jacket he's been wearing for years and my fear is that he's going to hit that keyboard to get square afte...

Re: My rebuild!

Instead of a large diameter clutch plate requiring even more customisation, why not consider multi plate clutches like they have on high power motorcycles?

Re: Italian Challenge 2018 Race Video (Queensland)

Right car and event but wrong driver.

Here is some classic GTV6 racing in OZ. Car driven by formula one world champion Alan Jones and Australia Rally champion Colin Bond.

Re: Engine coolant mostly gone

Just to clarify. A radiator leak down test (as opposed to a cylinder leak down) is where you place a pressure gauge on the radiator. It is fitted onto it in place of the cap. It is a composite device that incorporates an air pump and gauge. Normal operating pressure is applied to the system and allo...

Re: Engine coolant mostly gone

Sheit milky oil is not a good sign. Obviously if the majority of the coolant is gone, it would be a problem with a low part of the engine. On the other hand if some oil has got into the oil and you are experiencing a "steaming" exhaust with a hot engine and the leak down test on you radiator is not ...
