Re: Electrical diagram

At great risk of being thrown into Canadian prison for copyright infringement not so bad you get free maple syrup & beer, for the sake of the Alfa religion I'm willing to take a chance,This is fairly comprehensive. Well if I try to upload my file I get the following "The image file you trie...

Brian16 This is what I have in my collection of Alfa Busso knowledge .Don't remember where it comes from or who wrote it, but it seems to make sense. "Everything shows that machining .020" off an Alfa head will result in a .4:1 compression ratio increase. I have run heads with .070" m...

Re: Our 1600 Junior restoration

KevinR Yes I have to agree with your opinion of the experience.Last summer I foolishly agreed to help a friend deal with his Spider's window mech.It doesn't appear to be of the same quality as your GTV's but equally daunting.Pullies cables yuck.I'll take the relative simplicity of my GTV6 powered gl...

Re: Zwartkops Jan 2017 - Alfa Romeo race cars in action

Ah man your making me feel envious.Looking at those beautiful pics.I can smell the rubber and hot brakes,Here in Canada the only time I've been on the track with other Alfas was a tired 164 at Watkin's Glen, and then an insane GTV (13:1 setup) at Mossport.I smoked the former not so much with the &qu...

I must admit to extreme jealousy.Your car is looking really good,Nice to have a vehicle in a part of the world where you don't even know to spell the word "RUST" .
I'm also jealous of your beautiful dogs. Are those Springers ?

Re: Maserati Ghibli GT

Hi Jim I had a customer at my garage who had a Quattroporte III/Royale approx.1998/1999.He'd leave it with me for a couple of weeks when he went away on business, so I got to do a lot of "road-tests".If I remember correctly it had 4 Weber 2bbl.carbs.Owner took zero care of fuel system so I...

freccia d'argento Pretty Maratona. The factory exhaust system looked like this. Exhaust Complete.JPG Who knows who made the individual components ! I believe you can still source them in the EU + Britain Hah I said it ! My N.A.spec Gtv6 came with mediocre Wagner sealed beams.Have since torn those ou...

Yes that's it David drive the dagger in a bit deeper. I've never had the good fortune of visiting your wonderful country - someday. I have travelled quite a bit and the only two countries I could see myself living in are Oz and of course Canada.-25 tonight and where one of my sons works ,Northern Al...

In addition, speaking from my perspective - January in rural Quebec Canada,I look at the background and almost think I could abandon my country and head for Oz....almost.Too many Roos and rabbits.

75evo Yah I get where you're coming from but I think it's worthwhile remembering that Motronic was pretty slick-reliable stuff in it's day.At the time the japanese were sort of copying the Bosch stuff, sometimes improving it- sometimes not.Usa was hot to trot with throttlebody systems - Hah! So L-Je...

Hi Steve R, I share your interest in the status of this problem. You gave me a great deal of advice when I was setting up my 2.5L with MSII.My car has been a joy ever since I sorted it out 4-6 years ago.Her heart is strong and she sings a sweet song. So I'm interested to see if we can help Sape out ...

Andy I just checked Napa - Canada .Can't help myself, I'm sick that way. They have 3 options for sensors.First one is a little expensive. But it's a direct replacement.Other two will work, might have to modify your wiring terminal,

Re: Andy´s ex-white GTV6 (CZ) - pearl green

Andy Simply replace your sensor. They're cheap might even be able it through NAPA if you're in N.A.? If not they're sort of a generic Bosch L-Jet part so you should be able to sort one easily. My goodness I'm in the woods in Canada and I could lay my hands on one within 2 days.Great place to live ! No...

Re: Race Animal ?

I'm a big fan of RWD or AWD but I must admit to having my ass smacked on the track by an Integra type R on more than one occasion.FWD can be made to work really well but honestly I don't care ! RWD is somehow just a better experience overall.
