Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

flowing the supercharger results. 0.15bar boost increase. delta temp stays about the same. i need some torque control for first gear! i have never seen preassure that high, 0,9 bar :D The car felt really quick! 8) That's a 20% boost increase from 0.75 to 0.9bar. Lets see how this translate's to hp i...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Installed an oil heatexchanger parralel to the oil cooler. It took nearly 25 min for the oil to heat up on a warm day. https://myalbum.com/photo/su6EdDsNJV8t/540.jpg Used the plug in the blok to get a coolant feed: https://myalbum.com/photo/aGBachMQyim2/540.jpg Already checked oil preasure on the co...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Ported the blower for lower temps. They sky rocket wonce you exceed the 14000rpm limit where the normal m62 unit was designed for. So I copied the inlet side of an mp62 unit which is the performance model and can rev up to 16000rpm. Made a section view of the rotor and copied the contour: Before: ht...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Had two oil leaks on both valve covers. So removed them. Also made some baffleling in them while I was at it for the crank case breathers so they won't suc up oil which is bad for detonation and a lot of other stuff. https://myalbum.com/photo/dnDNRDTgAoDg/540.jpg https://myalbum.com/photo/6teMQPRX7z...

This is what autodelta sells for the 3ltr 24v with a rotrex. Rotrex is more efficient on high rpm. But can the lower cr of the 2.512v make up the 3.0 24v with higher cr and more breathing capacity?

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Probely not. 9.5 is still to high. I went in a knock limited power band with my 9.5 cr and couldn't push it further than 310hp. That's why I now run lower cr. Also 1 bar is probably a bit low but I don't know how efficient the sprintex blowers are?

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

timing light was broken. It was a brand new one.
Bought an other one without rpm calculation and without a timnig you can set on the timing light because i heard a lot of bad stories from them when i searched the web.

Finaly we can drive again! :)

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Had a nice vacation in France for a coulple of weeks. Thanks for the thinking guys. A new ecu would be very nice. It also is a lot of work. I have to learn myself all the new software. Rewire the engine becuase it is set for batch injector fire. Install a camshaft angle sensor. I orderd a new timing...

Yes, thought of it. But let's first see if it is something more cost friendly.

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Is it possible that you may have a loose front pulley? Checked the nut. But it was tight. @MD: your far of. It's an interstellar problem :wall: No offence mate  With the new brace it looks a lot better then before. Now it is only a few degrees. Orderd a new sensor because it once rubbed the t...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Because of some strange timing issues i made a new bracket for the crank sensor. Timing was jumping +/- 20 deg.... hope it helps. Never had the problem before. Maybe the slight new position after engine rebuilt causes this. I dont now. The old bracket had some flex in it. Harness seems to be ok. htt...

Re: Building the supercharger to the engine (75 3.0V6)

Thought of an electric wp but i'll hope the smaller pully and the new position af the waterinercooler radiator will do the trick. I once had a snapped belt and that is why i connected a buzzer to the arc. When the car doen't charge the battery the buzzer alarms. So when the belt snaps the alternater...
