The six sedan gearbox is rather a crappy affair. I would rather use the BMW Getrag 5 speed long ratio or 5 speed dogleg short ratio box. I have never seen the caliper break off like that ! Every single one Ive seen or attended to ripped the studs from the ally housing !
repairable by welding all up again and re doing the hole for the stud .

No,Yours will be "softer" as such..Id rather have it come on boost low down and sacrifice 100hp up top than having a ball breaker...
Makes for a more enjoyable car as well..especially at your age..
