One more thing Kevin - What spark plugs do you use in your 3 litre GTV6 cars? Previously I always used Golden Lodge 2HL plugs in my 2.5 cars, but this 3 litre arrived with NKG R BPR6EY plugs. Whoa !! There`s a problem ! If you look past the crank pulley at the front timing cover you will see the belt is rubbing against the belt shroud here..This will give you endless frustrations and have you pulling your hair out for days on end ! Unbelievably yes ! Bearings took the pain but the block is fine..Fernandos a pain when it comes to out of the ordinary sounds and his Bella...He stops right there and there to ascertain what is up..This saved this engine..

You are so right ! 1.1 final ratio ! and the Opel Senator 30i also uses the exact same box.
The output is splined where the BMW version has a flange.

Ive only ever used the BMW E28 , E34 535i Manual box. We got a special E28 535i that was introduced to try (snigger....) fight of the GTV6 30l in racing here.This BMW was fitted with the shorter ratio box and had the dogleg shift with first gear left and down. I personally prefer tha std. long , nor...
