Re: crankcase breather pipe - thoughts?
Unless your rings are stuffed and it is breathing very heavily, it will not impact on power. If your rings are stuffed, then your engine will be compromised on power anyway, so not much point. Also, the hydrocarbons that come out that hose are not good for you, so are much better put into the combus...

I'd try Avanti Spares at northgate. AROCA is having its clubnight there wed 8 august from 6:30pm if you wanted to visit 'as my guest' and ask.
Failing that, my old man 'might' have one (well, actually 4), but it won't be new (and may even be high comp) but can ask.

Re: THE FEISTY OLD LADY !
I can recommend 28mm torsion bars and 200lb rear springs. Still quite streetable but much better roll and pitch control and you can even drive it fast on a bumpy road and not worry so much about hitting the bumpstops all the time. I run koni yellow also and they are almost 'man' enough to control th...

Re: Race tyres review section and advice ( slick/semi slick)
I have found the 888 to go off with temp build up moreso than the re55s. Ok for a lap or 2 and then they get quite squirmy. They are a fair bit cheaper than the re55s and its for a reason. Not a fan.

Re: What month did Alfa Romeo stop making the GTV6?
When we find out we can have a minute of silence for the death of the gtv6. Its a shame that it didn't get an update to sell alongside the 75 until the early 90's.

Re: Turbocharged 79' GTV - Track Car Build
Good call. The de dion is a better rear end option - it will allow for easy roll centre ajustments and it will drift like a live axle but without the disadv of lots of unsprung weight to control. Its also simple to convert to adj coilovers. Your main task will be what to do about the rear brakes - i...

Re: Watts linkage. What sort of forces involved?
should have a bend in it like the gtv6
more seriously, per Mats comment, the weakest link is the issue - i'd expect the body mounts to give before the tubes broke (unless you follow the works and allowed a bend .... )

Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
The old rule of thumb is 10psi oil pressure for every 1000rpm - so if you have 2.8bar (about 40psi) at 4500rpm you are just under par. 120 deg is not outrageously high for a modern synthethic oil - the high temp rating for viscosity levels is at 100deg - but I think your move from 40 to 60 was well ...

Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
I'm fairly sure mine is -3.5 camber (have yet to check my file). I had about -2 in it previously but it was destroying the shoulders and went up some to try and keep my tyres alive for more than 3 laps! It is, however, still in road-car spec. I am running 28mm torsion bars, which I guess the wheel r...

Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
Car looks good - like the graphics. Not much camber going on there? I'd expect 3.xx (was that upped in the after?) Also ,factory setting was a small amount of toe out (?amt) so maybe your friend is right (not about the style issue, obviously) - toe out will address any reluctance to turn, but is pro...
