Got mine running on the latest MSnsextra code & megatune version and went for test run last night on 12x12 fuel tables. All is well, I need to fine tune some of the extra table areas - but only very slightly by the feel of things. On a purely enjoyment note I'd like to add that yesterday evening...

I also meant to say using distributor based ignition is in essense simple: Interupt the signal output wire from the sensor on the distributor & send to the MS, and the output from the MS is send to the input on the ignitor instead. The devil appears to be in getting the signal recognition and ou...

I'll give the code another try over the weekend - presuming I have any freetime ! & feedback. There's a range of coil ignitors that will work, basically any that have active dwell control and are "6 wire" units will be fine. Note these units have a 7pin connector, but only 6 wires are ...

Peter, imbecile question time from me...

How does download.exe work? As whenever I try to open the program is momentarily flashes up a window which then vanishes before I can even see what it looks like, let alone use to reflash the code ! This happens on any of 3 machines I've tried.

Peter, I've been working on mine recently too, but last night I backed off to a prevous working version fuel only set up whilst I think about the installation further. My version will keep the existing distributor set up and use MS to trigger the ignitor to fire the coil. Purely because I wanted to ...

As Jeff says looks for obvious loose bolts first. If the wheel is moving up and down as in you can "rattle" it a little further or nearer the stalk switches as well as up/down left/ right then check the upper and lower column bearings. The bottom bearing can sometimes drop out of the colum...

So the Porsche uses a torque tube then ! links the engine rigidly with the gearbox & the clutch is at the engine end... and the gearstick is mounted on top of the torque tube with the selector just running straight back into the tranaxle (ours has to navigate "around" the clutch), henc...

Nice smooth tourqe curve you've got there Sam, with a bone stock 2.5 some years ago mine showed 131bhp atw also at 5500rpm (dropped a hp at 6k) So it looks like your motor is fit and well. I have the CSC's on a 3.0 in a GTV6, for anyone thinking of doing the same fit was excellent, althought very ti...

OK, I understand where to buy them from now & how much ! Have to say I'd very much like a set of the 12v inlet runners & matching plenum. On an unported 3.0 12v head I'm guessing the entrance to the head inlet will need opening out to match the inlet runner, or would this mate OK with the st...

Can't comment on those companies, but if you go the the front page of alfagtv6.com and select "tech articles", you'll find one on how to rebuild your rearcalipers. I did my own using this info & it's pretty straightforward, fwiw at the same time I also added caliper spacers & SZ ve...
