Engine installed

Finally back on track with the 3.0L conversion. Engine is in the car. The project slowed a bit while waiting for the coil drivers and other bits for the Megasquirt box. Still some wiring to complete for the coil pack and VR sensor. The O2 sensors and the Air Temp Sensor were wired up to and old AFM ...

Thanks for the tip Murray, I've just about finished the new 3.0L engine install and will be hooking up my MS with the various mods in the next week or so. Tuning both fuel and spark will be interesting.

MD, no problem, just trying to give another point of view. Besides, there's nothing wrong with a bit of fluff in a GTV6.

Now, MD, firstly a couple of teaspoons of cornflour should fix your first problem and change you medication for the second. I have to disagree with you on the OEM carpet issue. Surely the fact that I can go out and lift up 22 year old carpet in my GTV6's and find as new paint on the floor and no rus...

Mel, The RH fan plug is the one to use for a single fan. Just something to remember, the fan runs the whole time the AC is on so even at 70MPH that fan is still running and probably not really doing anything. BTW, I tested relays 1,2,3 & 7 and they are all "type" 87. The relays are eas...

I'm not sure but I think they are two piece, front & rear. Not a problem though if they fit well and the join is under the seats.

Tru-fit carpets in Melbourne AUS sell a moulded carpet for the GTV's. I looked into this just recently but haven't purchased a set as yet. Maybe someone who has used them can comment on fit, etc.

Mel, Further to my earlier post, a couple of things that may help you. My previous comment that relays are all different is not quite correct. There are only a few types. This may help diagnose your problem. Standard operation is for the RH fan to come on when the AC is turned on regardless of radia...

Mel, I had a similar problem when I first purchased my 84 GTV6 with # 3 fuse getting hot and blowing. Corrosion of the fuse holder ends was also a problem and fitting a higher amp fuse sometimes resulted in blue sparks and melting the brass ends off the fuse. After a lot of testing and with the bene...

I just had a set of new ignition leads for my GTV6 made up by Queensland Ignitions in Brisbane. I re-used the original Bosch resistor tubes and the plug/cam cover seals. The new leads include 1K resistance distributor cap ends and are 7mm stainless wire centres and the 3mm brass end to screw into th...

Bill, I have finished all the mods. I had to get the coil drivers from the US so the MS mods have slowed the overall project a bit. I also have only just located the ignition lead ends so that I can get a custom set of leads made to the correct length and to fit the coil pack. Not sure why I went do...

x-rad,

Use the GTV6 spacers, they are thinner than the 75.

MS with Spark

I have the 3.0l motor finished and ready to install. I'm currently working on my MS setup. I have a 2.2 board and have loaded and set up the MSNS_EXTRA (msns-029q) code. My plan is to run MS as follows: 1. Use the 60-2 crank wheel on the 3.0L via the VR conditioner circuit to MS. I'm having trouble ...
