High RPM sputtering

Recently my car developed some problems with high RPM sputtering. Power was dead by about 5000 rpm. OK so I had a similar problem a while back. Turned out to be bad Lodge plugs. Put in new NGK BP7ES and gapped it to 0.28mm and all was fine. So I thought the plugs would be a good place to start this ...

There are 4 relays in my engine for the 2 low beams and 2 high beams. Overkill I think. The current draw for the 2 low beams are about 4.3A per beam only. A single relay with a 10 gauge wire should be able to cope easily. Actually 2 relays (1 for both low beams and 1 for both high beams) are plenty ...

Jarle,

The idle valve I use is basically the bypass valve in the plenum of the 75/GTV6, not the motronic idler valve. I guess we could start sharing maps. I should be able to dyno the car next week.

Jarle,

Just the standard GTV6/75 bypass valve setup.

How big a benefit with a modified dedion (camber and toe)?

Mats,

Does your GT have a modified dedion?

For now I will just go with the modified watts linkage mounts.

Hi Mike, I've used the Azenis before. Somehow it has a problem with heat cycles. Once it gets older (maybe after 2-3 track events) and you keep it on the track (in summer) for a few laps, the grip just isn't there anymore. And the grip doesn't seem to come back. Chip also observed the same problem. ...

Race tires

I was initially complaining about the lack of sizes for race tires. Specifically if you use 16" wheels, your tire sizes are limited to 2(which can fit the miniscule wheel arches of the 116 cars). 225/50/16 (almost all manufacturers) 205/45/16 (Kumho V700 ECSTA, Hoosier RS304) The problem with t...

Ah ok Jarle that looks good!

I thought the dissy was a simple method so I used that instead.

Actually, I think SMC 1.92 can accept 60-2. So you can just use an SZ or 75 3.0 Motronic crank pulley and crank angle sensor.

Aha! You must have bought it for a song. Wiring harness all done. Damn good deal I think. I'm going to buy something from him. Actually I bought all sort of stuff from Julian in Singapore (not our Jules in Sydney of course). Jarle, Don't you need a signal for cyl. 1? How are you getting that signal?...

Pancho, Fitting Autronic in a 24V is much easier. You already have the cam sensor. On my car I am using the hall effect sensor (as the home sensor) in the dissy and a flywheel sensor. Why did you go with SM2? A friend in Singapore uses SM2 for his 164S Turbo, but that's because his FWD is a handful ...

The customs were only interested in live plants, fruits. Didn't see a checkbox on cars

Nah, just a friends car.

In a year or two I hope to bring in a 156 GTA Wagon.

Joe Beninca has lightened rear flywheel. He thinks a lightened rear flywheel will have more effect.
