Re: Buying a GTV6 in Belgium

Some more advice would be to look at Germany too, lots of GTV6s over there and people tend to look after their cars. Not too far from Brussels to Koln etc.

Re: Buying a GTV6 in Belgium

There are sometimes GTV6s posted here:
http://www.motorlegend.com/occasion-voiture/alfa-romeo/

Although I can't see any at the moment.

You could also try asking around on this forum:

Bonne chance!

Re: Road Trip

Stop Press: I am putting the car back on the road after Christmas. Any advice about what needs doing before I start driving? I know that I need to sort the brakes and have a look at the steering, although it stopped being so stiff when it cooled down. What other things do you think need doing on a c...

Alfa Romeo on Facebook.

The Alfa Romeo facebook page is asking people what is their favourite Alfa Romeo? So far only 6 people have chosen the GTV6. Maybe a few people from the forum could go over and remind Alfa about the GTV6? Also wouldn't hurt to ask them to reopen the museum and stop selling Alfa's history down the ri...

Re: new type tensioner

My last tensioner (normal type) has lasted 8 years but a tiny mileage.
I wonder if I can convince an Alfa dealership to do the mod to the old tensioner described above... It definately sounds like the best way.

Re: new type tensioner

I know that this is raking over old ground, but what are people doing these days about the tensioner? I will be changing my cambelt, tensioner and water pump after a (too long) period of storage. Is it worth changing the seals on the old style tensioner? The new one scares me after having read all t...

US calculates octane number differently to most other countries.

Re: Does it seem like this site is dying to anyone else?

I have just been browsing the last couple of years as I have just bought a house and moved to Italy. Big increase in taxes and lots to do on the house, Alfa is sitting in an underground car park until cashflow improves. It needs a brake overhaul to get it back on the road and also now needs belts an...

Re: hello from Italy.. where born alfa romeo...

Try Turin, almost every car there seems to be a Fiat, Lancia or Alfa Romeo, all modern but theres not much of anything else apart from the odd posh BM or Merc.

Re: Stiff Steering

Weirdly it seems to have cured itself. It has been sitting since July and I took it out and the steering is now fine. Maybe it was the heat?
