Hello,
I have recently bought a December 1980 GTV6. The car came without a radio and I am planning to buy a new one. Could anybody suggest me a model with a Vintage-look which might suit the interior of the car?
Thanks and regards
Oscar

Re: Drifting removal
Problem solved!! My car now is now running with the following settings: Left Side: Camber: -0°20' Caster: +3°30' Right Side: Camber: -0°40' Caster: +5° It seems that the problem was related to a moderate tyre pull. However our Alfas are engineered to fully custom the front suspension setup and this ...

Drifting removal
Hi, I have a 1988 stock alfa 75 twin spark, with stock tires 195/60 14". The problem of the car is a slight drift to the right when driving on a straight road, without hands on the steering wheel. We tried to switch the tyres, but the problem could not be solved, it will still drift slightly to...

Re: 75 Twin Spark timing chains replacement
Mats, Murray, MD,
Thank you very much for you replies!!! I am glad to read that the operation is possible without too big issues. I will definitely follow your suggestions and hopefully the engine will get quiet.
Regards

Re: 75 Twin Spark timing chains replacement
Hi Mats, Thanks for the reply. Yes, as you say the usual procedure is to retighten the chain. Another procedure I heard is to loosen the nut of the tensioner, engage the 5th gear and pull the car forward, then tighten the nut again. I have done that, but no big improvement in the noise. I am wonderi...

75 Twin Spark timing chains replacement
Hello, The timing chains on my 190000km alfa 75 twin spark are getting noisy. What I was wondering is: would it be possible to replace both chains (the upper driving the cams and the lower driven by the crankshaft) without opening the engine? In particular, the removal of the oil pan would allow eno...

Hi Murray, if I understand correctly, you write that it is better an oil without additives for LSD. May I ask why? They worsen the synchros performances? Are you using the same oil for your LSD alfa 75 twin spark? I ask you that because a few time ago I had the transaxle of my car rebuilt (I also wr...

Hi, First of all thank you for the nice words for my car. I was pretty lucky with it in this case :D . Let's say that with this car I could balance the lack of luck I had with my other car, in which I spent a lot of money to bring it to its current good conditions. Here they are together in Rome: ht...

Hi MD, you are right, I'll be more precise. I am Italian, I live in Florence during working days and in Rome during weekends. The oil I use is the one prescribed by the factory, that's to say Agip 10w40. In normal conditions, the pressure when the engine is at 800RPM is between 1 and 2 bars. Last da...

Oil Cooler
Hello, I was planning to install an oil cooler on my car (alfa 75 twin spark 2.0, standard engine). In fact, last Sunday I went to the Appennini mountains and the day was pretty sunny and hot. I noticed that when going uphill, the oil pressure tended to drop to non optimal values after some time. Th...

Hello, I'd like to ask a question related to the swapping. There is a bearing located near the head of the pinion (I mean the one not located in the intermediate flange)... in the v6 alfas and in the 75 turbo this bearing is different from the one adopted in the 4 cylinder carburetted and twin spark...
