I would think the major car manufacturers would know what they're doing. Mats, he has NO idea of that which he speaks, at least with regard to tuning and UEGO's. The tighter emission standards today (ULEV and ZLEV) require cars to meet relevant pollutant levels (CO, NOX & NMOG) within 15 second...

Well, also autotune is NOT a magic bullet... Autotune will give you automatic STATIC adjustment across the entire rpm range (again, statically across loads) but will not compensate for load levels! It ABSOLUTELY does JJ. You are simply incorrect on this. You just need to tune with it once and you w...

I was just clarifying to Sam, the experimental setup I'm currently running on my car. Having said that, I don't think GoTech has auto-tune. But, what do you expect for a low cost more or less plug-n-play EMS? Also, my understanding is that auto-tune will only tune AFR and not output power. So, yes,...

The wideband O2 sensor is only for air-fuel ratio monitoring (and tuning of map accordingly) - not connected to GoTech. Trying to get the open-loop map dialed in closely before closing the loop with an O2 sensor. Actually, I will probably have the car dyno-tuned open-loop before closing the loop. J...

Come on Jes, you know there is not a single person on this board that would condone let alone make light of, even if in a facetious way, the actions portrayed in the article you posted. You have taken, or rather mis-taken, the jocularity and light banter far to seriously. Do us all a favour and dele...

This assumes Barry is NOT an alien... does it not?

One may question, and rightfully so, how safe an assumption that is! :D

No, no, no... come on Greg. Sweden and Finland are cities in Germany, northern part I think, up by France, east of Canada.

That is why he is drinking beer and wearing das lederhosen!

Looks very nice Steve, looks much better than what Alfa made originally, or Callaway for that matter!

Alfetta w/AC and GTV6 Heater Valves

A little while ago I noticed some coolant drip, drip, driping in the passenger footwell. Maybe 12 drops every 20 or 30 minutes. Upon closer inspection I noticed the plastic housing had and ever-so-small crack near the flange that attaches it to the heater core. Knowing these valves were no longer av...

From your description it sound like either your clutch MC or SC have gone, typical after letting them sit for extended periods of no use. Check the MC fluid resevoir. If it is empty or low check under the car. If you have a puddle of hydraulic fluid under the car near the clutch it is most likely th...

Coach, The speedometer is an electro-mechanical device. While the sendor and amplifier are prone to fail, may I suggest you lubricate the speedometer head as well? There is a product on the market that is an electronic parts cleaner/ oxidation protector and lubricator, Boeshield T-9 is the brand nam...
