Cams Wise,

Kelford camtech in Christchurch did a set of custom grind cams for my 2.5l.

I dont think i could get the lobes any bigger unless i ground bits out of the head.

I'm sure its similar to the 164s cams, maybe someone here can tell me the differences.

How close are they?

Is it the one between the plenum and the double nut adjuster? If so then any correct sized rubber o-ring should do the trick. The trick with this is when you tighten the adjuster it squashes the o-ring and makes the hole smaller, and so lets less air pass. I'm guessing you all knew that. I replace m...

Cleaning the interior?

Hi guys,

What do people use to clean spills/stains from the cloth seats, carpet and headliner?

Has anybody tried Mothers carpet and upholstery cleaner?

Part Number - CV430228-40 (not sure if this means anything) Description - 28/108X40mm Porsche 911 So that is 28 splines and is 108mm in diameter and 40mm thick. Hope this helps anyone out there. Also...

Sorry, cant remember, but the cv shop should be able to match the number of splines and diameter and depth measurements to get the exact one.

May be able to find the receipt somewhere.

Will see what i can do.

I had to replace a cv a couple of months ago.
The job was easy, finding the part wasn't.
The cv shop did not have a reference for the GTV6 but found one that was for a Porsche 911 that was an exact match.

i think IAP were very quick, but postage was a bit costly.

so probably within a week or two.

Tell me when they arrive, would be interested to know postage times, may get a few parts shortly myself.

I did all of these except the water pump recently, but did have to tap a new thread into the water pump as one of the bolts had snapped. I installed the mechanical timing belt tensioner from IAP http://www.international-auto.com/index.cfm?fa=p&pid=2520&posid=907053 Otherwise the NZ agent for...

Mine also is a silver '87, probably right that it is a 86 registered in 87. Mine turned 300,000kms on saturday. If you need some contacts for ...
