Re: Headlight lamps
I don't think its legal but loads do without issue as long as they are adjusted well. might be worth getting the light lens machine polished too.

Re: Inlet Manifold Design
yeah i guess that has to be advantages of the duel length plenum but if they are outright power or more low down torque or just emissions or needed with variable cam shaft timing i,m yet to get conclusive facts.. i have ditched the manifold design for now as im going to run some home made itb's desi...

We'll settle part of ...

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine
Hahah, you can blame the weatherman for this, plus the fact that I'm away on vacation from today and will be back end of the month. Talked with the dyno/mapper yesterday and we decided to do IT sometime in September. In the meantime, all is well with the two gta fans, even in this summer heat. Trut...

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine
Well, now that you have the new rods, the best thing you can do is carefully grind off those ugly lumps from both ends, balance the rods end-to-end and then polish the area as best you can. If shotpeening is available, go for it but cover the bearing and pin surfaces. Tip: Very small weight differe...

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine
For any kind of performance use, std rods should be more than adequate, given the very short stroke of these V6's. Why then do we buy aftermarket in this case?... I would urge someone to run back-to-back tests regarding tensile strength etc between std and Max rods... I once compared my THS V6 rods...

Re: Jim K. 3.2 engine
The Max... I put in my 3.2 did not have offset but they are centered on the piston pins when you shine a light up the bore -that's all I care to see plus the little thrust movement on the crankpins. Personally, I couldn't give a rat's ass about offset. I used Max... non-offset rods on Alfa 1.8T als...

Re: M7 X 1.0 X 20mm allen bolts - anodized in blue
Anodized in blue, Ti Grade 5 DIN 912 Price about $2.5 each. Would anyone be interested? This is definitely bling only, serves no real purpose. Besides M7 is not cheap, and if you're replacing them, why not get something that looks good. Only thing is I heard Ti is quite soft, but since this is for ...
