Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
I have a feeling the Hewland is going to cost more than a FEW converted and modified 24V transaxle Alfas.

Re: JK's v6 book
The cast manifolds angles upwards steeply, maybe they thought more beneficial as hot air wants to go up? Or the engineer working on it had too much veno and mixed up the Nord's angle with the V6's! Can't trust those eye-talians. Greg, Have you looked at Beninca's 24V header? Simple design. May...

MD,
my valves are stock. But new valves are gonna be regular steel valves. Need to check for seat recession too.

Re: Ooops, I dropped a valve
I think my engine is having early signs of possible sodium valve failure. All exhaust lobes were pitted and even the base circle showed signs of wear, suggesting the lash went to 0. Impossible that I set it at 0. It must have tightened up. Inlet lobes were in excellent shape. This means the cams the...

What is the specs for the GT? Compression, pistons, heads, cams, ecu? Did you I'm building a 3.0 24V and I'm curious how you got it to go to 8K rpm reliably.

Oooooooooo nice!
I can't wait to drive mine. I skimmed the heads and cleaned up the ports and it should respond better now with those cams.
Btw are those 17" wheels lighter than the 16" black sport pack wheels?

Greg, how does the sprintex compare to the new TVS eaton in terms of price and drive powr and discharge temps? Looks like the twin screw has the slight advantage.

Alfa v6 tappets
Guys, The exhaust tappet now cost USD50!!!! Crazy! The intakes are more "reasonable" at USD29 each. What is the alternative to this? Remachine and reharden? When swapping to new cams I was told to only use new tappets but with the new price, cams are cheaper then tappets. You should be wor...

Re: JK's v6 book
Jim, Remember Baz built Kevin's 3.2? I saved all the photos and he had to make a few small pieces to make everything work, but no mention of interference with the crank. But the extra throw of the 3.2 with JK rods may need some work. He had to make the flywheel spacer and a spacer for the crank and ...

Nah mate, I got some plans for them. LHD/RHD doesn't matter. Although I would prefer broken ones, but just let me know the price in case I wanna buy them.

Ben
Google active nsx exhaust. You will see how this nsx owner did up his system based on some harmonics he wanted to attenuate and amplify. I think the tuned length should be similar for our engines too. Sounded nice, but I personally prefer a Unicorse or the Unicorse look-alike they make in the UK.
