Dont bother with a Centrifugal. I used to love the idea of all that boost up top. You need to rev it to get anywhere, and all you're really doing is accentuating the peformance characteristics of a naturally aspirated engine. Bragging rights suck! If you're building a car that is going to win dyno c...

Greg, if you drive it nicely, which I am sure you will, then most of the bits should hold up! Mine doesnt get driven too hard these days, but the only issue I ever had with it when I was taking it out for a good belting twice a week, and being nice the other 5 days, was a broken halfshaft CV boot, o...

Damn Greg that torque curve looks like a fun ride!! Certainly has the potential for someone to go out and out stupid with an engine like that. Rods, Revs, Boost and tyre smoke yum yum!

Any links to this Greg Armstrong's work?

What about Jim Steck?

JJ thanks for the clarification- so it's easier to go to big bore on the 24v, and the rods and head studs are better- so really, turbo wise, its a good starting point to get hold of one, say as opposed to a 12v 3.0 with higher lift cams, billet rods, big valves, and 7.6:1 pistons already in it?? Tha...

Andrew, Barry - what sort of box mods is Dawie using for it to take that level of power? Pfitzner gearboxes out here in Aus. do all the WRX straight cuts, and do straight custom cuts with a synchro, or a dog engagement, for about 6k AUD... which would really only leave the diff as the weakest link, ...

Show us some piccies, then! It's no secret that the SA twin Turbo engines are the heaviest hitters going around, I want to see more and more and more of them!

And What MD did was also a top fabrication effort. Have you seen the amount of (horn) billet used? Check his effort:

But it still doesnt address the longevity of a transaxle with a big HP engine!

Well, that yellow 2002 laps Wakefield Park as quick as a modified GT3 Porker, and beat an M3 CSL with suspension mods so it's no slouch, especially when you see how much of a handful it is. These guys arent too fond of the newer BMWs anywa. The White Sport Sedan has had its fair share of problems, b...

Some Serious HP...BMW Style

A Quick link to my friend's site. Yeah I know they're Beemers, but this is all part of the reason that a naturally aspirated engine will never really cut the cheese for me! His dad's car. You haven't heard an angry four cylinder in my books, until you've heard this thing come on boost and make its w...

To be honest, I really want more power. But I cant be bothered spending all the money needed to make my 2.5 a faster engine. I love it to death, but I want to go harder!!!! I want to embarrass GTRs and Turbo Rotaries at the strip and the track. I want to prove a point! Twin Turbo 24v is looking more...

I have to say that a good shifting transaxle is a very nice thing indeed- when they are all tight, and you know how to drive one, it doesnt really matter too much anymore- Even when I fit my 4.3 diff up, and had the syncrhos swapped, the thing became so much better to punt around. Im more along the ...

My first broken donut came flat changing Second to Third. The car was a tired 2.0 when I learnt that lesson. I Now have an 8200rpm redline with my V6 and nothing breaks (touch wood)- get the whole assembly balanced as a pair, and they work fine. Ive since blown the front donut, but that was the resu...
