Guys,
Lets try to get USD300, so we can pay for 3 years. All we need is about USD5 from 60 members then we will be good until 2015.

Re: Mats Strandberg (SWE)
I like the custom engine mounts. Only way to align the engine properly is to go with cheaper custom mounts and not pay cut throat prices of stock Alfa mounts. Mats did you properly align the engine? Does the 4cyl engine also have the east-west alignment problem like the V6? When I had my driveshaft ...

Alfas @ Laguna Seca
We had a great weekend at Laguna Seca. I will report more later. I'll post one photo first. My car is the blue one, and my brother's the white one. The white one is Jes Thyssen's ex-car. I had 215/40/17 Dunlop Z1 Star Spec. These are AMAZING tires. Controllable, but ultimate grip is not comparable t...

Re: Power steering on 24v, rwd
MD, If you have an electro hydraulic unit from an MR2, you can hook it up to a PWM circuit. Get the wheel seed from the ABS sensor, then invert it. The faster the speed the lower the assist. BTW, about the girly man comment. I never thought JK was a girly man, but hey we learn new things eveyday! :m...

Re: Power steering on 24v, rwd
I think I will go with a mr2 electric power steering pump and clear up the fro t of the engine. Less pulleys and belts. I will upgrade my alternator to 120 amps as I also intend to go with a craig davies water pump or a bmw water pump.

Your mom drives a 2.5 V6? Nice. I saw some documentaries on crimes in Joberg, it sounds really serious. And how is it someone like you not have an engine lift. You have a dozen cars fer crissakes!!! Funny story about my mom and dad. My mom decides to take her GTA down to my grandma's house. Sh...

Re: Turbocharged 79' GTV - Track Car Build
The DeDion is good enough for anything but the top end of motor sports. Only the 75 IMSA had the fake DeDion which was actually a very complicated IRS. The evo race cars had modified DeDions. I suggest that you max out the DeDion's capability first (widened, cambered, adjusted roll center), then whe...

Exhaust valves
I Just got plain steel valves for my 3.0 V7. The heads are going to be shaved so I will end up with 11:1 compression.
The valve stem looks so damn wide, can I trim it down a little below the guides to improve flow and lose some weight?
Thanks.

Re: Alignment Engine-Gearbox
The only 2 problems with the Alfa's setup are: 1) Alignment Not such a big problem to overcome, but not exactly easy either. 2) QA or QC of giubos I wish we could easily interchange them with Corvette units or even BMW units. I've had giubos blow up within a few thousand miles. The new manufacture i...

Re: No longer a ''budget" race GTV
I have -3* in the front and -2* in the rear. The rearvwill be widened via spaces too, maybe by 1" on each side. I can only test it at Laguna Seca on new year's eve. Also gonna get a compression increase to 11:1. Only thing I'm a little worried is the rear has 0 toe-in, so under braking could be...
