Is there anywhere in SA you can get it done!? Has to be one of the funnier things Ive read recently, considering that the craziest Alfas have all come out of SA! Im certain this will start a long winded V6 vs four cylinder discussion, which is generally a good thing if you dont know what it is you w...

While once a big fan of the Centri blowers, Im realising now that the top end gain is all you get from them. With the cost of a top end Centri blower, you could nearly pay for turbos and pipework, and have the same boost figure as a peak centri. halfway down the rev range! They are fine in the world...

Yeah youre spot on Mats- Im pretty certain the modern TS engines he's had apart are all post 2000, 156 style. It's not economical for an Aussie to get a 155 style 16v motor into the country- they're already around in Lancia form, and are reasonably price. The small(ish) Fiat crowd do some fun stuff ...

There's a Sydney guy who is building newer motors into his 116 GTV, after having worked for the distributor for a few years. He's had the 16vs apart, and Ive heard alot of talk of "rubbish rubbish rubbish" in regards to the internals. He certainly claims an 8v 75 style TS with porting will...

Get Greg's Blower kit, and rebuild your engine with 9:1 pistons so you can put some worthwhile boost into it. With an intercooler and management, 12-15psi of boost could go into it on 98 octane fuel, maybe around 12-psi tops on 96 octane, with less aggressive ignition, and straight away you're talki...

I Just heard the start of that thing. It sounds like mine when it cold starts. Like it's angry it just got woken up. The difference is, you can hear the stroke, and well, it makes my motor sound really small  Think it's time to start saving for some cubes to turn my little screamer into a big s...

As an aside, one of the best things you can ever do is find a woman who: a) Appreciates Alfas, and the time involved b) Realises that it's constructive c) Knows that she will only ever come a really (really really!) close 2nd to the car when youre driving it, or scheming your next mod (so nearly all...

Couldnt tell you for sure, but the recipe is fairly straightforward- increase total airflow potential without turning to monster boost levels, and it should be fine if its tuned well. 400hp GT28 with the .7 front housing, a new flange to fit it to your manifold, running around 15 psi, a 3" exha...

MD's got it on with his conversion, as do the Team Comp guys- billet, and lots of it, and fulcrum point changes, that will likely highlight our soft Synchro issues even moreso. I stil wonder whether a 928 box sitting in the De Dion with one of their shift linkages could make something nice out of a ...

My BMW mates are using the factory ECU with an intercept on their turbo M Coupe, just for the knock sensor. They're running 30psi of boost into a REAL expensive engine that tries to jump off dynos when it hits boost, so they're having trouble tuning the top end of the rev range. Apparently it cuts i...

My friend recently repainted a 124CC in Honda's S2000 metallic, That is a top colour, and would suit your GTV6 with those wheels on it!

Zambon, perhaps you should look at that colour too? Then a set of simmons FR17 with gold centres.... mmmmmmmmm!

Greg- Ive actually seen a purple GTV6 and a metallic light shade does the shape a lot of justice- I couldnt believe it! Dennis your paint job looks horn! Zambon, what I have seen, and love on 75s is deep gloss red- I think Ford have one their charts, so it could be the one your'e talking about. Also...

It's all irrelevant in the long run- those SR20 guys end up having engine problems when they crack 400hp and 7k rpm issues with the valvetrain, and they have to spend as much as we do for good reliability when they pass that point, it's just cheaper for them to do it up to that point! If you want a ...

Fletch-

our GP edition was Australia specific. Ours came with the body kit and red grill 85-86. I have seen Euro models that were called a GP edition, and had regular bumpers- but with different interior.

You're best to ask club guys about it! Some of these guys just know it all....
