Re: Some more brake upgrades for the 116-Barry
@zamani And all others! Here in Holland there is a guy who made ducts. He does have a lot of room though! http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd121/Sander_Merkx/Alfetta%202009%20Koele%20remmen/PICT6892.jpg http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd121/Sander_Merkx/Alfetta%202009%20Koele%20remmen/PICT6886....

I guess there won't be a reply but still.
How did the instalment go?
How is the light beam and stray light? I would love some in the dark pictures!

Re: Performatek
I know this topic is old, almost dead for that matter.. But I think for international shoppers this is good to know: Just made a small purchase at preformatek! I'm from Holland, and he ships fast and with good rates! Replied to my emails fairly quickly! So all in all! I'm a happy customer. FYI I bou...

Re: Dutch Black '80 Gtv6 3.0 24v
Hi! Thanks for the replies! @Kevin! My same experience! In order not to cut the casterrods /balls I used the 8.3mm spacer. The back end still touched the car. I had to grind as well. I ended up cutting to much, but this was my area that I had to widen: http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo209/Melviv...

Re: Old member GTV6, New onwer in Holland
Well I promised to post more. So here I go! Since September I've worked a lot on the car. Slow progress has been made :) I'll post more detailed in time, but for now a quick summary. There was some rust on the car. In the left & right back wheel arches. http://i376.photobucket.com/albums/oo209/M...

Re: 1982 GTV6 Restored/Modified
Great to see another 24v! With excellent power output!
No other modifications then the GTA cams with race computer?
Added a few modifications you've done to my list
Do you have some nice interior shots? Just for fun!

Good lord, what a beauty! Great interior!
Would love for my car to look like that
Does it have anti-rust protection? (ml or Dintrol of some sort?)

Re: Does it seem like this site is dying to anyone else?
I'll go on-topic here, As for many the language might be an obstacle! When back in the day this was the only forum, alfetta people only had one place to come to. Nowadays every country has a board for their hobby cars. I understand that people post to people who are nearby. And if you post your find...

Re: A/C installation in a non A/C spec GTV6
Hello MD, thanks for the advice. I took it with me to the shop, showed them, but the man on the job convinced me it would just not be necessary. So I got a weird deal... If it would be up to the task of cooling me down in the summer in Italy on summer holiday, they would rebuild it for free... So as...

Re: Gear Bushings Were Needed - Lightened Gears
Thanks for the reply! I'll stick with the heavier solid gears.
But I'll just make sure that thee sync-system is top notch, and make sure I've spare parts in the case of wear.

Re: Gearbox rebuild (Lots of pics, hope you don't have a mod
I'm going to kick this topic, As I'm currently dismanteling a 75ts box (which has no diff anymore) Main reason is because I want to use the syncro rings and dog gears for my gtv6box so it's a better shifter. The car has increased horsepower, and if possible I would like to put in a LSD as well. I'm ...

Re: Gear Bushings Were Needed - Lightened Gears
How do the lightened gears preform with increased power? (if you have a 24v with 255bhp @crank )
Wont they shatter combined with track use?
And would you recommend this for any Alfa?

Re: Slave cylinder v6
Seems that the work/slave cylinder is still available at the classic oriented Alfa shops for about 40€ brand new!
So for that money, I would just buy a new one!

Re: A/C installation in a non A/C spec GTV6
Hello MD! Ones again thank you for pointing out the faults in the system. Quick update; I've visited the AC builders, and weren't to happy with the idea I've thought out. They would try to make A system, but in essence they said, Back to the drawing board! Here is their list of problems with the car...

Re: A/C installation in a non A/C spec GTV6
Hey MD! Excuse me if I offended you! It was never my intention to question your knowledge or experience about this matter. So if I have, I'm terribly sorry. English is my second language, but I'm still no pro unfortunately. Thanks for the tips so far, and YES I'm willing to go the extra mile on this...
