Joe Beninca told me about the alignment problem a while back. He sells the tool to align the engine and gearbox that he is willing to sell.

I think that is what Jim K did for his M3 rotors. I'm pretty sure machine shops can do this.

Mike,

Maybe you could try machining the rotor diameter down by 2-3mm if the clearence is actually the problem. That would be much easier than new brackets.

Amazing amount of info found on the old forum. Here's just a few of many threads regarding big brake conversions: Contains Barry's & Daniel's brake conversion http://www.alfagtv6.com/discus/messages/205/4279.html? Marcel's, Mat's and Zamani's upgrades: http://www.alfagtv6.com/discus/messages/205...

Wilwood

Not sure about 15" wheels though, I have 16" wheels because my uprights/spindles have been extended.

Whatever happened to Daniel (Australia)? He used RX-7 TwinTurbo calipers with Supra rotors.

Zamani, could you tell me what part number/reference are the Willwood Dynalite calipers? What diameter are those Supra rotors? The ones I have are the Dynalite II Billets. Yuo can get the Dynalite II forged for US$110. Caliper piston size I used with 24mm MC (from a 164) is 1.38".. Supra rotor...

No. 1995cc is not Lampredi. Lampredi only went into the Q4. I'm talking about the 1995cc Nord in the 155 TS 8V and face lifted 164 TS 8V. The heads are different than the 75 TS and pre-face lifted 164 TS.

Just curious, that means the 155 TS 8V had a different crank than the 75 TS? It seems that the bores are the same? If so, seems kind of dumb for Alfa to do that. Changing cranks just to go from 1962cc to 1995cc?

Oh yes, finally a factory TT. Somehow I have a feeling that Alfa will just say "TT plan shelved, GTA going to have only 300 bhp 3.3 JTS". However, from what I have heard the TT is already in the works. Oh and if I am not mistaken, it will be a 3.2 TT JTS UNIAIR TWIN PHASER TWIN CAM 24V. :s...

Extremely disappointed with the intake runners. However, very impressed with the torque figures. I can only imagine what the GTA 3.2 will have..... 290 bhp?

Well Alfa is known to mix and match parts. Some 24V engines have 3.0 24V, some have V6 24V on the plenum. I'm not really sure if the 6C or V6 came on later 3.0s or 2.5s or whatever.

No it is mm. You are right stock spec should be about 0.028" or about 0.7mm but the car wouldn't run at high rpms at those gaps without coughing. I need to find out what is wrong. Could be the dissy cap or bad coil or something. I may try to regap it to 0.7mm and see how it works. What are the ...
