Re: Inlet Manifold Design

im not trying to rain on parades here, and maybe i risk getting shot down, but this quest to redesign the intake is totally pointless on the 75 and 12v IMO, and not necessary with the Hp figures were talking about. if Autodelta, and gregs super charging for instance could run between 230-250 hp with...

Re: 2.5 injectors

Well had the stock injectors back from ultrasonic treatment. there was an 8% imbalance before, and one injector was leaking, explains the crappy fuel consumption too. all were between 179 and 186cc flow before cleaning, varying. after cleaning, every injector (plus replaced leaky one) now at exactly...

Re: steering column play

x rad before you go tearing into it looking for the play, check the pinch bolt on the steering knuckle, next to the clutch pedal. It being loose just half a turn is enough to create the play.

nice solution, but I have never had this problem, unless I have fitted a cheap nasty filter. The good makes of filter never sag.

Re: POWER Steering

steering column, can you get away with just parts below the steering knuckle?, or is the fitting to the rack completely different for the GTV6? I seem to recall APE doing a conversion adapter of some sorts to allow the GTV6 steering column to be mated to the 75TS rack. my concern is that with an 83,...

Re: 2.5 injectors

thats good info Greg, thanks. so basically the BMW injectors inject too much fuel for the duration on the standard ecu on a stock 2.5 then. well I dont want that at the mo, she runs rich enough as is! good to know re you stage 1/2 injectors though. Once I start pulling the engine apart, I will...

2.5 injectors

Hi all, Im just looking for an opinion on what others would do in my sitution. to cut a long story short, I have been trying to get to the bottom of a rich running problem for a few months. I have replaced and tested everything, and the last on the list is the injectors and fuel pressure regulator. ...

Re: Idle Irregularities

after having done all of that and not found it, its time yoiu got it plugged into and exhaust gas analyser through the start up and warm up, so that you can see what is going on. i bet she is running way rich or way lean during this condition. with the injectors you had cleaned, did you get flow val...

Jules, was an engineers report provided before the ruling was reached in favour of these assssss holes? Any competent engineer, unless utterly brain dead will see that the rear hook is strong in the direction it is designed for, ie to tow another behind it. Any one can see that pulling on that brack...

i think you have just answered your question, with your possibles. yes it could be all of those, and no, you wouldnt necessarily get vibration throughout the entire rev range with any of those scenarios. replace all the guibos and the box mounts.

Re: What Clarkson said about the gtv6...arrrgh.

never had no trouble with my fords 8) had a 78 fiesta 1300 cross flow sport, 81 Xr2, and 84 Xr3. I loved everyone of em. The Xr2 and Xr3 were brilliant cars, never missed a beat, or rusted. quick as fck, and handled. I miss them both. The fiesta was good too, though it used to eat a set of points ev...
