Re: RS Suspension- Adjustable Damping vs Preset Damping
Jules, The adjustable Intrax coilovers and shock will cost a lot more than the normal RSR units. Since your car is more of a Type-R car, not a full-on race car, I wouldn't want spend too much on suspension a lone. I say either go for the road RSR or Beninca re-valved konis. It will save you a bundle...

Re: JK's v6 book
I bought used 155 V6 cams from the UK and sent it to RJ's shop in Los Angeles, CA. The cams for the 155/Spider is unique, in length. But the Spider cams are also unique in profile. Kterkilla, your cams broke? If it was I'm surprised that all he said was the buyer should have known. I spent a lot of ...

Re: JK's v6 book
The big V6 exhaust followers are only found on very late 12v motors. I know my 155 V6 has them, and maybe the Spider 3.0 12v. My 155 V6 has his cams for a few years, no problems. I really doubt any of the engines RJ has dealt with have the big exhaust followers. 164 engines have big rockers, but no ...

Promoting items sold by members
Guys, One thing I love about this site is, it is supported by members, thus free from dumb google ads. BUT I think some items sold by members who are extremely helpful here deserve some "assistance" by this site. I propose we promote 2 things: Jim K's books Greg Gordon's store 2 small bann...

Re: JK's v6 book
That was one of thing I was concerned with. I chose one with a lower velocity from him. Here's the problem. Nobody I knew ever gave definitive values for the velocity, until JimK. Also in the US it's more and more difficult to get the proper oil for flat tappets. In Europe it seems 10w60 can easily ...

Re: 2.5 future mods - engine direction?
Get another car for a daily driver. But make this thing a special 8K screamer. 12:1 comp, new cam designs, big bore headers? Jules, those older race cams were good for their time, but I was told by Richard Jemison, cam designs have moved on. The olde skool CB cams are just that, olde. I don't know a...

Re: 2.5 future mods - engine direction?
Jules, 12:1 comp, custom cams with new lobe designs, ported heads, 3L valves, ported runners, i think this should be good for 210 bhp or more. Forget about going fast, cheaper just to buy a used evo or something as a daily car. But the is something a bout screaming N/A Alfa engines :D Even as a dail...

Re: JK's v6 book
There is no significant difference between the V6 CSC SV and normale. The only real difference is the joint to to mid muffler is slightly bigger.

How much do they weigh? Are these WTCC specific wheels which weigh less or just the regular Superturismo wheels from OZ?
