Exhausted my panel bearing skills

Post by tmundy »

I am in the process of returning a GTV6 to the road. Thankfully the car has little rust (no i'm not lying) but what bits there are are either tricky to get at of require some panel beating skills. In the main I have been getting on with the cutting out of rusty metal, makeing repair patches and welding them back in. Not bad even if I say so myself for a novice.

Now my problem, I had a bit of rust in the passenger side footwell that required most of the metal above the chasis member to be cut out. The panel I need fabricate is way beyond my panel beating skills. Instead of trying to make a repair panel I was wondering if anyone knows of a repair panel for the footwell or someone who might be in a position to cut up the floor of a broken GTV/6? Any other ideas greatly received.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

well ive done alot of panel makeing in the past for classic american steel.....in the case of almost imposible panels sometimes its best to make it out of multiple pieces and weld then together section by section
