Cooling fan electrical noise.

Post by Mark Mallett »

Just ordered a MS kit from Glen's Garage to install on one of my 87 Milanos. Reading through Steve R's GTV6 MS installation page I came across his mention of using magnetic chokes on the radiator fan leads. Does anyone have suggestions on type (possibly part numbers) to use?

Mark,

Have a look at this link. It will give you some idea of what to ask for. These seem to do the job and fit the fan cables well,

They look very similar to the ones I used, should do the trick fine - Also clean the terminals in the connectors for the fans, that helps too....

Thanks David, this gives me a clear idea of what I am looking for.

Will clean the contacts as well while I'm at it Steve.

Found these at mpja.com part number: 15566 FL

Blocks noise. Frequencies from 10MHz to1GHz
